  1. Sounds like they will have 500k-1 Million to sign some of the late round picks if you include the 15% tax. Should be able to get a couple.
  2. Marian Hossa future HOFer
  3. Alford's hit a rough patch in Lansing. Hitting .154 in the last 10 games with 17 SO. Hopefully he can rebound a bit and get those strikeouts under control.
  4. My guess is that he meant Travis is hitting the ball harder than his actual talent would suggest. Just wondering how many PA doe xISO need for it to stabilize?
  5. Not sure the Indians do that. Also EE will have 10 and 5 rights in the couple weeks if he doesn't already have it IIRC. EE would never accept a trade to Cleveland lol.
  6. Not sure Ian Kennedy is the answer. He gives up a ton of hard contact and coming to the Al East and RC from SafeCo and the NL West likely won't work too well. If its just a salary dump I'll take on the rest of the contract and plug him in as the number 5 but he's pretty similar to Estrada. Jays need a number 2/3 not a back end guy
  7. Do Jays use Boyd as trade bait with his stock being really high right now? Same way they used Molina and Graveman..
  8. Difference is Sanchez never had control while Norris put up below average walk rates but not completely awful.
  9. Delabar is your generic high Sw-Str guy. Problem is the command is pretty bad.
  10. Wow Don Cherry going off about the All Star voting. Trying to get fans to vote for Donaldson. Should get some of the casuals voting thats for sure.
  11. what? Norris is clearly the much better prospect. Norris has gotten a bit unlucky lately but he is still putting up pretty good numbers in AAA. Boyd has the ceiling of a number 4 starter.
  12. how much control does he have left? If its just this season I wonder if Saunders + Castro would get it done. Reddick would make this lineup amazing since he mashes RHP and you could slide him in the middle of the order which makes it harder for managers to gameplan the later innings.
  13. Yeah SP is Jays biggest need. Would allow Sanchez to go back to the pen which helps them out as well and could better manage his workload.
  14. Reid Foley had 3BB 6 SO through 4 innings before finishing with 5BB and 7SO through 4.1 IP. Astros prospect Brock Dykxhoorn who was facing Lansing threw 6 IP 2 BB and 10 SO. He's from Goderich, ON
  15. Yeah I think you want to keep him in Dunedin this season or move him to NH if he really pitches well. Certainly don't want him rushed to the bigs. I've listened to a few games so far but it seems Hoffman for how hard he throws doesn't get the swings and misses he should get. Of Hoffman's 3 SO today only 1 was swinging and there were only a few other swings and misses according to the broadcast.
  16. Hoffman gave up back to back HRs. First one on a high changeup. Not a great start so far.
  17. Hoffman with a couple walks and 1 strikeout through 3 innings today. Lack of strikeouts are getting to be a bit concerning
  18. Income tax in Toronto is middle of the pack apparently. The difference in all teams really isn't as much as it is made out to be since they tax you for where the games are being played. So if you are in Tampa for 18 games and 18 days you are subject to Florida's income tax laws.
  19. 100% right about the Ace part. I'd rather Samardzja or Cueto then Hamels though. Cost will be a lot less. The Brendan Mccarthy trade of last year would be perfect if a similar type of deal is out there.
  20. With the Canadian Dollar being low its actually a more attractive place for Americans. They're living expenses are in CAD but they make USD so they are gaining almost 20%.
  21. One of the Best Finals in recent memory. I certainly would.
  22. in the interview he says he has his stuff back. The K numbers have been pretty good and he seems to be throwing a good amount of strikes. In his start on Monday he said he became really fatigued after the 3rd innning which is why he struggled. (team had a 4 am flight+bus ride) and players only got 3 hours sleep.
