  1. no way the Dodgers get Puig's market value in a trade. Not with all the reports of how bad a teammate he is.
  2. If Pompey comes up to play LF I'd put him 9th with Travis leading off. Reyes in the 7 spot so the team could actually take advantage of his speed. Travis Donaldson Bautista EE Smoak Martin Reyes Pillar Pompey
  3. Sucks that he's been terrible in high leverage situations. Can't blame the manager for not having confidence in him when he does put him in there he keeps giving up the lead.
  4. Does not mean they are good options in high leverage situations.
  5. I know. He would be losing Abs vs LHP based on the fact he won't be seeing as many LHP in Toronto. Down the stretch teams aren't going to start the average Lefties vs Toronto like what Baltimore did.
  6. Tyson Ross would be really nice. That GB rate would be perfect for Toronto where the Turf takes away a few hits. Ross isn't an ace but he is close.
  7. Seth Smith, Jay Bruce, Will Venable... A platoon OF is really all they need considering the heavy RH lineup. Have to remember Gomez will not be seeing nearly as many LHP in Toronto as he would somewhere else. And with Pillar in CF you don't really need a CF this season.
  8. not when you have much better relievers available in a close game.
  9. Gomez really doesn't fit in with the Jays. Sure he's a nice player but for the cost you could get someone who will give you more value.
  10. Given the what the cost would be for Gomez+ Fiers I'd much rather trade for a better SP with less control and a LH platoon LF. Pillar is better in CF so all you need is a LF and given how many RH hitters are in the Jays lineup all you need is a platoon guy who is going to be much much cheaper. Seems Gomez would be a waste since he mashers LHP (would hardly get any PA vs LHP in Toronto) and his value is tied to CF something the Jays don't need.
  11. Fiers seems more average than the good pitcher this team needs. Not the greatest fit for the AL East and he'd probably cost a lot given the control. Guy is also already 30 years old so likely only going to get worse from here on.
  12. Hung up there pretty good. If you watch Bautista he was jogging towards the ball.
  13. Bautista has to make that catch.
  14. Ball is carrying a ton with the dome closed
  15. Well Bickford and Beede had bad physicals so theres that...
  16. there has to be an injury or at least something showed up when they did the physical.
  17. Theres no argument that JJ Watt doesn't deserve top money. I'd agree mostly with not giving it to a WR though.
  18. You would have to think the Jays would then acquire a SS. What SS are getting traded besides Tulo? (Really don't want him)
  19. Neil Hunington is what your description of AA is pretty much. He knows there are a lot more smart people in the org. than him and he listens to them. To be a GM you have to be much more than some smart stats guy etc.. Honestly as a GM you just need to be a great negotiator and people person who listens to the smart people around him. Just have the analytics guys and scouts tell you who to get and you get them for the best price.
  20. So apparently Hoffman got promoted to AA.
  21. But the list is supposed to be about trade value. Not a chance Gomes has that much value right now.
  22. Guys are going to be so tired by the end of this. Taking full swings as fast as you can takes a huge toll on the body lol
  23. Donaldson the only Blue Jay on the list.
  24. what a terrible slide lol
