    Funny thing is star NBA players are underpaid to what value they provide because of max contracts and yet they get bashed when they pick a place to go. Like if there was no cap Durant is probably getting what $70 Million on the open market? As crazy as it sounds Lebron might get $100 Million.

    I read that since he was already in Dunedin signing his contract they may as well gave him some games there.

    Yeah you're right, got it mixed up. I think 10 years of service gets you a 100K pension which is why you have guys like Craig Brewlow sticking around in the minors trying to get back on a team.

    Pretty sure his family is pretty well off. To play travel ball as a kid it costs in some cases close to 10K per year so a lot of players aren't coming from poor backgrounds. Even if you play 1 game in MLB you get a decent pension, which as a first overall pick very likely happens.

    And sign no more of the guys after the 10th round to 100K.

    2nd round pick plus 4M in cap space> Boedker. Can use that cap space to get a player and then flip him for more assets, or take on a contract for picks like I was saying.

    Well if he has below average secondaries with no "out" pitch theres going to be limited Ks.

    Jays should trade Solarte as well. Switch hitter with ability to play 2nd and 3rd with another year of team control should be worth something decent. Plus that opens a spot to bring Gurriel up from the minors.

    Or Ottawa can just take on a bad contract for picks this year and have kept the picks that Florida gave up. Big difference in value between Boedker who is a depth forward getting paid more than he is worth. Not being open to listening to what Florida would have to offer is just Dorion being a bufoon.

    First of all Dorion is proven to be a moron as well as the entire Sens organization. As a rebuilding team the Sens are way better off with cap room so they can use it to buy a first round pick with a bad contract from a team against the cap, not to mention the picks Florida gave up aren't nothing. Boedker is a dime a dozen player who doesn't give Ottawa any value besides clogging a roster spot to a younger player.

    Then its on Dorion for not exploring a trade with every team. Just because Florida is in the same division doesn't mean you don't talk to them.

    Dorion is the biggest moron in sports. San Jose basically bought him for $20 and sold him for $100.

    I dunno he looked awful in RF. In left he seems to have better routes to the ball.

    Unless he pulls an Estrada of 2017 I don't think the QO changes his value at all. If he continues to pitch the way he does he's going to command a much better return than a comp pick that could be in the 3rd round.

    I remember when I brought up Happ bringing back more in a trade people laughed at the notion. Now it looks more than likely.

    Oh I know it wouldn't happen but I think one of those senior players didn't sign a couple years back with the Jays and it cost them over 200K in pool space. Conine would have an agent for sure.

    Lol the agents of those players could screw the entire draft up for the Jays by demanding more $.
