My biggest issue of the trade is the Jays need to build a team that is going to win 95 games to compete with the Yankees and Red Sox. I'd rather take a chance on some high upside prospects than players with the ceiling of being average and a likely below average profile. You already have enough of these utility types like Gurriel, Solarte, Travis, Diaz with Bichette and Vladdy on the way.
Also while its fine to prefer position players over pitchers you still need pitching and the Jays system doesn't have much in the way of that. They're going to need to deal some of these position players and prospects for pitching.
