    Health issues plus Strikeout rate is massive while not hitting for much power and you can see why he's dropped so much.

    Jays should be able to eat money on all the players they are trading. Since Rogers sets the budget for the upcoming year you may as well take advantage of that because there is no guarantee they money saved will go back into the team next year.

    For a lot of jobs now white males are at a disadvantage. Try getting into the police force as a 25 year old white male. A lot of executive positions are still going to old white men but for entry level jobs employers are trying to hire diversity so you're at a disadvantage being a young white man.

    Yeah but for some that could be a 3rd or 4th round pick, hardly a deterrent.

    He should be able to get at least $20-$25 Million on a 1 year deal if he went that route. Teams are scared off by the age and hesitant to give him term but getting a 4-5 Win player for 1 year is a bargain.

    I feel like FO are pretty smart now so a year from now Donaldson will just be another year older and that much more in decline. He might be better off to just take the most years and $ he can get this offseason.

    I think I read that this year he trained on his own program because the previous year he wasn't happy with training team.

    Yeah Jack Flaherty wouldn't even make a difference on this team.

    Question will the FO/Rogers be? The Jays have access to a bunch more medical info so maybe they think he's too worn down.

    Lol its gotten to the point where he might actually accept the QO. I can't see him getting more than 3/75 this offseason unless he comes back and puts up a 160 wRC+ and looks healthy.

    Donaldson hurt his calf again, will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks. FFS at this point he might not even get claimed on waivers because of his salary.

    Of course, I'm just saying valuing him as an asset from this day forward. With his defense 12 is probably too high.

    Adam Jones has had a pretty good career, Matt Kemp as well. I don't think he'll be anywhere that successful but Nick Castellanos isn't a bad comparison. I think a lot of people would gladly take 12 WAR over the next 6 years from Teoscar. With the Flyball revolution people just don't care about strikeouts as much as they used to.
