    Yeah it was in a response to Soup saying they should be offered long term deals. I can't see them giving either of them a significant offer until the end of the season anyway. Jose must have structural damage in the shoulder. Not really any other explanation given how he's thrown the last 2 years.

    Edwin's been below replacement level this year and while Jose has looked pretty good at the plate he doesn't look like he can play the OF anymore. You don't get paid on what you've done multiple years ago but what you can provide in the future.

    Kevin Pillar now tied for 18th in WAR among position players at 1.2. Actually ahead of Bryce Harper which is mind boggling. People pissed on him because he was a bad leadoff hitter but he still remains one of the best players on the roster. Nice to see he's cut down his chase rate by more than 10% since last year.

    I find this narrative BS. He's been great defensively since the trade so its not like a trade would cause him to struggle at only one part of his game. Loss of bat speed and/or loss of pitch recognition looks like the main reasons.
