  1. I think that's a bad strategy. You should be able to tell pretty early on what a player's talent level is and be able to project that. Even if you lock up 3 guys and 1 of them falters you still get so much surplus value out of the whole. I think the superstar players are way less likely to sign extensions now anyways. Everyone realizes Trout left so much money on the table and once Harper signs for $400 Million all the Bryants and Betts of the world are just going to wait the 6 years.
  2. I think his bat is better than a 85wRC+. By the time 2021 rolls around a win is probably going to cost more than $10 Million so you'd be only paying him as a 4th OF anyway.
  3. That'd certainly tire your fielders faster depending on how often you did it. I think players would hate that. Shifting in a way already does that.
  4. Think it all depends on the price. I would sign Pillar for the same money Inciarte got. I'd also sign Sanchez or Stroman to a Bumgarner contract but if its going to be 5 years with $50 Million Gtd then I'd just play it year to year.
  5. Wonder if either party would do a 2-3 year contract with incentives. That way if Jose performs he could get his $20 Million/year.
  6. Yeah Carroll should play the 4. Then you can have DD/Ross/Powell rotate at the 3 wing positions.
  7. Patterson injury sounds concerning. Outside Lowry he's the one guy they really can't afford to lose. PF depth is crap.
  8. I could see the Celtics possibly beating the Raptors. While you are betting on a Lebron injury you are also betting on Lowry staying healthy and with the minutes he's playing its a little scary.
  9. Yeah but by starting him you can have him stagger his rest breaks so he doesn't have stretches where he's playing 12 min in a row making him more effective. He's basically starting the 3rdQ of every game now and is always on the court in crunch time. His game would have already been "exposed" if that were the case. He's a top 3 player on the team.
  10. Its time to start PP. Been wasting valuable min. by not having him start. Siakam shouldn't really see the floor.
  11. Lol Durant just pissing on Carroll at the end.
  12. Derozan missed Ross for a wide open alley-oop
  13. If only 1 or 2 of these missed 3s could go in..
  14. Is everyone else having an issue of the scoreboard lagging?
  15. See even though the game is at 7 the Raps will ultimately fall short but in the process Lowry plays 40 Min on the first leg of a B2B. Basically fool's gold.
  16. Why? Poertle has looked baddd in his time on the court.
  17. Think I saw the other day the Cavs are 4-18 without him in the lineup the last 3 years. Maybe they make it as a 7 or 8 seed.
  18. He'll get votes but he shouldn't win and I don't think he does. Lebron honestly deserves it the most but since he's always so good he gets passed up. The Cavs are a lottery team without him.
  19. With the B2B tomorrow best to just shut it down and rest the key players. You might get it to a 10 point game but they aren't beating GS tonight.
  20. Harden is close Westbrook isn't. He's averaging a Triple Double but only has a 55% TS Percentage and averaging 5.5 TO/Gm.
  21. Durant 19 points on 7-9 shooting. Give him the MVP already.
  22. Powell hasn't had the best half defensively. You can't leave Durant open for a corner 3 ever.
  23. Had a wRC+ of 123 in August, really it was just one terrible month in September. A .107 BABIP is crazy bad luck so I wouldn't look much into it. He's great vs RHP and he would only be a platoon bat with Upton anyway. Plus like Morales he's always been in s*** home parks like Oakland and St Louis, perhaps there is some potential given he's an extreme flyball hitter.
  24. Yeah that deal didn't seem to make much sense. He'd be better off taking 1/15 and going back on the market next year.
  25. Heyman also said an agent thinks Tampa would go to $30 Million/3 Years for Jose. If he's willing to sign for that Jays should sign him in a heartbeat.
