  1. Lol the Gibbons crapshoot remark sums it all up. Besides stating the obvious that Castro shouldn't have been thrust into the closer role due to inexperience and lack of pedigree I think everybody's confidence is down in the pen. There's been a lack of clear cut defined roles and too many mix and match games, it was discussed to death here in the off season that having a true "closer" isn't of great importance and is overrated, but it's also hard to quantify how much the lack of a real closer effects the confidence of the other relievers and settles down the pen. Honestly Cecil is lost right now and his confidence has been undermined. Plain and simple this was all predictable months ago and AA should have known better, and more importantly he should have done something about it instead of watching option after option pass him by. For all the flak Gibby's been getting I almost feel sorry for him (I did say almost) considering he's trying to make chicken salad out of chicken scratch most days, AA needs to be taking a lot of heat right now as well..
  2. That will be the next course of action. I'm positive AA wants to hold onto his deniero for the trade deadline, I just hope we don't burned too much before then. Castro's clearly lacking the pedigree & experience for*the closer*role, Cecil's confidence has been undermined and you're pretty holding your breath with everyone not named Osuna these days.
  3. AA has 10-15M to spend and assets to work with, in the off season all the experts and pretty much the entire world identified that our bullpen needed to be addressed. You'd have to think there's a contingency plan there somewhere and this was just a short term experiment. If the pen keeps imploding you'd have to believe double A will put out the fire sooner than later..
  4. RIP R squared.
  5. As opposed to not so clutch Hutch? Not a fan of that guy either..
  6. Hopefully we get back to winning now. AA has in the range of 15M I believe, go get a pitcher or 2!
  7. Yup disorganized pen could be a serious problem this year..
  8. This entire week watching the Jays has been a huge kick in the sack.
  9. Seriously need a good AB here from Joey, he's due.
