  1. Not a bonus game, we're in a super tight race right now. This game and sweep means the world to the Jays.
  2. I don't like this move, I don't know how much pain he's experiencing but if it's just a strategic rest move I'm not a fan. He's heating up and on a hitting streak plus has good numbers against Tanaka. We need every single game possible against the Yankees and he'll be getting rest tomorrow.
  3. Since the start of this week we've chopped the deficit from 6 to 3. If we can win tomorrow we'll be in great shape to make a run at claiming this division.
  4. I want the Astros to lock up that division so I'm hoping the Angels lose every game possible. I'd love for us to take this division from the Yankees and take on the Stros. I'm sure the Angels & Yankees in the WC matchup would be a slugfest with the winner facing the Royals. On a side note Danny Valencia has single handedly beaten Houston the last 2 games for the A's
  5. Dickey was fantastic last night, he did everything to keep us in there until we finally pulled it out.
  6. Game 1 of 13 tonight and I'm nervous as f***!
  7. It really sucks that the Red Sox couldn't steal another one from the Yankees last night but 2 of 3 would bring it down to 3.5 following the series. Over ambitious of course but in a best case scenario and we sweep it would be 1.5
  8. Good breakdown.
  9. Good follow up to Magits post.
  10. Good post, I enjoyed it. Great points in regards to ERA vs FIP, I agree there are some things that advanced stats and SABRmetrics can't quantify and obviously ERA alone is very flawed. The Morrow and Hutch comparison is perfect because they are both supremely talented pitchers the statisticians will defend as unlucky due to numbers crunching, but both have a penchant and propensity for big implosions pitching out of the stretch.
  11. Of course we want him to turn the corner but I'm tired of seeing him s*** the bed and get bailed out almost every game. People always say look at Carpenter & Doc Halladay, they took years to get it together and I get it's a process but we can't afford his ineptitude this year, we're in the middle of an extremely tight playoff race right now. When is enough finally enough with this guy? Look at his stats over the last two months, he needs to sort himself out in the minors imo.
  12. Please no late game theatrics from the Twins..
  13. Finally! I can't believe we might actually gain one tonight.
  14. Koji taking on A-Rod, Tex, Beltran.
  15. Olerud was definitely underrated though, I remember those amazing seasons as part of WAMCO when he flirted with .400
  16. They were partners in crime as part of WAMCO.
  17. Tell him Gruber.. I love that glove so I'm glad he's on the roster, perfect back up.
  18. I would say yes but Bello & Hutch out there at the same time is pushing it to the brink.
  19. Hopefully those Yankee bats stay asleep, that's the real problem there.
