  1. Don't be cruel, Leafs fans have dealt with enough false hope over the years.
  2. I must say the way we've gotten these pitch counts up is a good sign over last year. Archer would be at 39 pitches if this were 2013.
  3. HAHA I'll take it! The man with the fridge on his back sneaks in there!
  4. Well at least the Yankees are losing again to the Astros.
  5. After the Reyes injury they said on defense they wanted to keep Goins at 2B. Izturius can play SS. Maybe that's just Barry Davis reporting incorrectly but the idea was to keep Goins at 2B to get him fully comfortable there
  6. Thanks for posting. Pretty sure there are other teams with valuable trade bait that have even less of a chance of competing that he could pick on (hello Philly?)
  7. Can someone with insider access post this article please
  8. Well I think that's exactly everyone's point. Opinions, especially about an athlete's performance is based on their past performance and stats. So considering how good Dickey has been, for someone to develop an opinion that all of a sudden he's going to be terrible come as a surprise and isn't exactly logical. Hence why you open yourself to criticism.
  9. You should sell this system to teams. You'll probably be a gagillionaire.
  10. haha, please tell me you're not such a bitter fan that you actually don't think Dickey's had strong stats the past 4 years.
  11. I would load up on this bet if it was offered through an actual sportsbook. Dickey = good
  12. Sounds like he also would have said it was a ridiculous move to have Matt Moore start game 1 of the playoffs vs Texas a couple years back.....
  13. 3 walks already for Happ. Exactly what we didn't want to see. Can't help but have that impending feeling of doom when it comes to the back end of our rotation just like the past two seasons. Don't worry though we can go out in the offseason and get some starters right???
  14. In case you thought home opener tickets on stubhub were expensive now, wait until this is confirmed! http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/masahiro-tanaka-likely-to-make-mlb-debut-april-4-1.7404357
  15. Running it through my spreadsheet. I'll get back to you.
  16. For those wondering, I am struggling to find any hope today. YIKES!
  17. Oh. So you expect me to READ the thread title.....
  18. I could see specks of that. Actually anytime someone appears to be a fan of the Rays I kinda assume they know a thing or two about baseball. Sorta an odd assumption of mine, guess I figure you must support such a well run team in terms of scouting/development/coaching etc that you must know something about the game, otherwise why on earth are you in Canada cheering for the Rays! Ok now it's bourbon time!
  19. Time to go and enjoy a nice bourbon based beverage. Then watch the raptors. I will be cheering for them. I see the good in each and every one of you even if I think you're talking out of your ass - afterall, I'm an optimist. This was fun (and killed the last couple hours of my workday).
  20. haha, fair enough. I know his type. And I get it. It's one of the frustrating part of being a season ticket holder is hearing people's conversations around me about players or the team and they are clearly biased over the team's lack of success over so many years. I'm all for intelligent baseball conversations but not when someone will only try to point out or pry out the negatives
