  1. That's good of you to accept my above apology. I think we all forgive you.
  2. No I hadn't seen you make the 180 in that post. Considering how violently against it you were originally and the banter you had with people who wanted to bring him to Toronto, it's quite surprising. I apologize for not realizing you could change your opinion on a dime even after bashing people who shared the same opinion that you now apparently have.
  3. This is quite the 180 for someone who was so passionately against any team viewing Headley as an upgrade
  4. So true. The fact we're debating Goins vs. Tolleson - two players who should never be in the big leagues - is sad.
  5. I can only pray he doesn't go 2 for 3 and it revitalizes the "can Goins stick" debate.
  6. I'm not as against this as the rest of the world apparently. Who else are you gonna use out of the bullpen that you're more confident in as a potential longman? Mills - no. Hendriks - no. Call Delabar back? Sanchez has the most upside of anyone available and has had better control as of late so even if it's not ideal, WTF, I look forward to watching him
  7. Yeah, he's owed 1.43 that we would save this year and then the 750k from the buyout. So not petty cash for the JAys
  8. No, just the first year. So if we pick up the option it costs us 5.25 million net - something that just wouldn't happen at this stage.
  9. well we sure as hell weren't picking up his $6 million option for next year, so the whole 'what have you done for me lately' applies here. We need to win now and he isn't helping.
  10. I find it so frustrating to read the "rumours" out there these days. 98% have zero substance.
  11. This is such a ridiculous suggestion. I know people love to bash AA's intelligence, but there's no way he would consider Kendrick given the current teams needs and rotation.
  12. Which is why it's so ridiculous to see his name mentioned in trade possibilities. One of the few things we have to be excited about right now.
  13. Ok, if I was Gibby right now I would give strict instructions to not throw one strike to JP. Not ONE BALL IN THE ZONE. 3 pitches, and an out
  14. Hate the feeling that if we give up one run right now, it's an automatic loss.
  15. Found this to be a great read. My favourite stat - he has given up 58 stolen bases - in 15 friggin years. Wow. http://grantland.com/features/mark-buehrle-surprising-success/
  16. Richard Griffin isn't exactly a go-to guy for reliable Blue Jays info. I don't hate the guy and I'll read his stuff, but I certainly don't believe any of the rumours he puts out there. I can't remember him ever having the inside scoop on something before it came out. And let's face it, 99% of the journalists out there put out articles claiming things that they haven't heard from anyone inside the organization, they simply make reasonable assumptions and write about them as though they know something other's don't
  17. I was wondering that too - figured they messed up with cameras and he got an out we didn't see at the end.
  18. Not sure who I would want 2nd.....I mean who would replace Kawa in the top 3....Reimold? That's about the only guy sadly. Kawasaki has a higher OBP than anyone in the 5-9 spot and I like that he can make Archer use up pitches. It ain't a pretty thing to see in a lineup card but given the alternatives I'm ok with it.
  19. If this is part of a bigger package, sure I can see it. But it's not just Soria coming from Arlington. Imagine if to get Beltre we were forced to take back JP. OMG I just puked in my mouth.
