  1. If #f***YouSuckMyCock is the new official Jays slogan, then I'm expecting a legit push to the playoffs to begin today. FYSMC = winning streak.
  2. With how much this team values Canadians, and given how bad the Brewers are doing, I could see them going after Doug Melvin.
  3. Rogers being dumb isn't news. They tampered to try to hire a new team president after asking a rival exec for guidance. Clearly they are not bright.
  4. Happ and Lind are just experiencing the high of leaving the Blue Jays. Tends to make players better just by changing uniforms.
  5. They were LEADING the second wild card at the trade deadline last season and did nothing to add to the team. Rogers spent months in the off-season trying to hire a GM to take over as team president (Duquette), who was surely going to fire AA at some point. Rogers isn't going to spend more on this team, not with Alex in charge. They don't even want him (or Beeston) around. That's also the reason they probably won't approve a Bautista or Edwin trade. There is no point letting someone you want to get rid of dictate the direction that the next GM takes. The job will be appealing to GM candidates with Bautista/Edwin still there to trade (or keep for one more season).
  6. They won't be traded until the off-season. AA won't be allowed to move them.
  7. Gameday has the count at 2-1 but shows three pitches clearly in the strike zone. I'm glad I'm not watching this. I'd go crazy.
  8. Keep scoring. I don't trust Hutch this season.
  9. Doubront started in AAA last night. Not a coincidence he started the same night as Sanchez. Only a matter of time now.
  10. Every AL East team looks like a .500 team. The Jays, Rays, and Yankees have played the East 28 times, the Orioles 29 times, and the Red Sox 25. That's why no one is running away with the division right now. Evenly matched teams facing each other so much. We will see who the best team is when every team starts playing the rest of the league. One team will break out of the pack. The Yankees look like they have the pitching to do it, but who knows. Could be the Rays. I don't think the Jays have the arms to win this, unless Norris pulls a 2014 Stroman, and someone like Boyd or Doubront surprises.
  11. Great. Now the narrative will be that Sanchez only had one bad inning to justify trotting him out there again. He needs to go to the pen, asap.
  12. How long until Doubront replaces Sanchez in the rotation? One more start?
  13. If Sanchez isn't going to get those borderline calls, he's f***ed.
  14. I hate Gonzalez. He always seems to do well despite s***** ratios. Sanchez's luck can't possibly continue for much longer if his walk totals remain as high as they have been. Not liking the Jays chances tonight.
  15. I think he's a reliever long-term, to be honest. All I'm saying is I don't really care how he develops this season if it means the Jays make the playoffs. That's all I can do now. Hope this sad sack group that AA put together (the pitching staff) can fluke their way into the playoffs. Reality is just too darn depressing.
  16. Why isn't Bautista on the DL? Dude can't even throw a baseball and says he feels pain. Put him on the freakin DL and let him get healthy!! I hate having a GM and manager with their jobs on the line.
  17. I'm waiting for someone to say that I compared him to Halladay, therefore I think he will have a similar career. In reality, Halladay was bad in 1999 but for steroid era standards was getting by with a good ERA. Sanchez has been similarly bad with the walk rate, but getting by. Not sure how long it will last, but at this point, let him walk 120 batters this season as long as he keeps fluking the team to victory and the Jays make the playoffs. Don't care how it happens at this point. The playoff drought is maddening.
  18. I still can't believe we traded Syndergaard for Dickey. We would be where the Mets or Astros are today if we simply stuck with the original plan. Toronto sports teams never have any patience. Sanchez so far is reminding me of Halladay in 1999 (awful BB rate but getting by). Still has upside but man is he playing with fire right now.
  19. I wonder why the Jays didn't trade for him. Reasonable salary on a one year deal and eats up innings. Mets were trying to dump him, if I recall. Missed opportunity.
  20. Yeah seriously, I am impressed with the Yankees roster. It seems when they cut down the spending, Cashman made great value moves. When he throws money at free agents, it usually ends pretty badly. Maybe he is better with a smaller budget.
  21. Yep, count me in as those now wishing we kept Happ. Happ + Pillar > Saunders + Sanchez This roster is a mess.
  22. Good move by the Dodgers. West has a big league arm. Bad move by Toronto, but what else is new?
  23. Stupid move. This was a perfect chance to send him to Dunedin and stretch him out. This org is hopeless.
  24. I'm down for trading those two and building around Donaldson. You have to know when to cut bait, and it's getting close to that time with those two, especially if the team is not succeeding with them and the GM has no idea how to add capable pitching to win with them. Between Bautista, Edwin, Buehrle, Dickey, Cecil, and Saunders, can they get enough back to contend in 2016? I only mention Saunders and Cecil because they are free agents after 2016 as well, and not long term pieces.
  25. LOL. Is that your way of saying "I'm tired of glory always being right"? If so, I'm flattered. Otherwise, ignore me, moron.
