  1. Yeah, if they weren't going to use Osuna to preserve the no-hitter, then what was the point of him even warming up? Should have gone with Delabar or even Tepera.
  2. The AL East is the better division in the AL. They just started off poorly because of so many head-to-head match-ups. Once every team in the East started facing the other divisions, every team went on a run simultaneously. Wouldn't surprise me if both WC winners come from the East.
  3. Yes. It might mean something for Estrada, but for the Jays, it means nothing. A win is all that matters.
  4. Come on, take Estrada out. He starts next week against the Rays. Last thing we need is for him to have his arm shredded just for the sake of this meaningless s***.
  5. The Jays are 13-2 in their last 15 games and still 2 games out of first in the East. At least they are 1 back of both Wild Card's, but Tampa being the team to catch is scary given how bad the Jays play against them. The Orioles got hot this time last year as well. The AL East is still the best division in the AL, by far.
  6. At least we gain a game on the Orioles. Thought for sure they'd sweep Philly. Every team in the East suddenly starts winning when they face mediocre teams.
  7. 7-1 lead, go with Hendriks to mop up the game instead of your scrubs. He'll probably get Osuna throwing in the pen, just in case.
  8. Copeland starting at all shows a lack of urgency, regardless of when it happens. He's not the 6th starter, if he is, this team is in trouble.
  9. Aaron Sanchez isn't even this bad. I hate Dickey.
  10. Routinely Abysmal Dickey. Can't wait until he's gone.
  11. Who is this year's Brandon McCarthy (bad ERA, good FIP, team will sell low)? Samardzija?
  12. The Jays need another winning streak and then to add pieces at the deadline. One winning streak was to dig themselves out of the huge hole they were in. Another winning streak is needed to take a leap towards being a playoff team. Clearly, the division is starting to play better, and .500 will not cut it.
  13. That Monday game stings. Now have to depend Runs Aplenty Dickey to go for the split.
  14. The Jays offense can't afford to slump. Not with this pitching staff.
  15. Win these next two games because the O's are going to destroy the Phillies, so don't want to get too far back of them before the weekend series. We got this. Lefty on the mound for the Mets, and Home Hutch. Don't disappoint me.
  16. How Amaro keeps his job is amazing.
  17. Sanchez is the ultimate sell high to me. ERA is deceivingly low but high GB rates and still very young. Some GM would value him as a core piece in a trade, I think.
  18. Looks that way. AA did his usual "I have 5 starters and expect them all to stay healthy" routine instead of loading up on depth like a normal GM would. He's paying the price for that, and not doing anything to help the pen. The sad thing is, the offense actually is excellent, so even slightly above average pitching gets this team to the post-season. Unfortunately, they are going to finish near last in pitching, so it's .500 and the treadmill keeps on rolling along.
  19. The Orioles will overtake the Jays this week. The benefits of four games against the Phillies.
  20. Man, even I don't blame Gibbons for last night. The hick will do something stupid eventually, we don't have to reach for them after a loss.
  21. The White Sox suck.
  22. Samardzija has a high ERA. So clearly he sucks and it shouldn't take much to get him, right???? Hey, McCarthy got traded for nothing last year this time for having a high ERA. Bring in the Shark.
  23. Hendriks for 2 innings was the right call. I was expecting Coke to face Ortiz to justify that unnecessary call up, but he kept one of his best relievers in the game and it paid off. Broken clock.
  24. That goes without saying. Tell the geniuses who think Gibbons is a great manager that bad managers hurt teams. They don't seem to agree.
  25. Clippard's been awful this year. Lots of flyballs and lower K rate. If you can get him for nothing, then fine, but don't give up an asset.
