    Astros just walked off on the Dodgers. Suddenly, tonight's SNB game (Pirates/Giants) really means something.. and the win gives the Astros momentum ahead of their trip to New York.

    Off-topic, but the Astros just tied their game off Kenley Jansen of the Dodgers. LA's pen is so bad.. And nice DP by Goins/Tulo/Smoak. Pujols sucks..

    Boy, Angels can't afford this.. bullpen's already taxed and Richards already has given up 8 after Edwing homers off him. 8-5 Jays.

    Still no GIovatella for the Angels, and not a lot of good chances to score.. Richards is going to need to give them a lengthy outing today, or the Angels will be in trouble.

    No surprise to see Thole in there. Get a sweep here and we could be in 1st by the end of today (and possibly more if Houston beats the Yanks on New York's final game in hand tomorrow).

    Only one problem.. Hamilton is on the DL right now. Part of it could be because of a weak schedule.. this team was routed by the Yankees a little while back.

    Angels are gonna feel worse if they lose this game.. Tampa came back to beat the A's and could get within a game of LA, Texas will overtake the Angels with a LA loss. Still.. how are the Rangers doing this? Their pitching is awful and their offense doesn't seem like anything special.. And of course, the Twins beat the O's.

    Wow.. Heaney walked in a run! Get Bedrosian up.. the Angels bullpen can't afford these short starts right now, especially with the Rangers breathing down their neck.

    Kaleb Cowart sucks. Even the people at Rotoworld said they should've stuck with Conor Gillaspie. If he clears and accepts an outright assignment, the Angels should really get him back up here. Cowart looks like he either needs more seasoning, or is another Brandon Wood.

    Ugh why is Kaleb Cowart still in the big leagues? No hits and looking very overmatched, yet he gets promoted to the 8 spot in the lineup..

    He'll be in late in the game anyway as a defensive replacement. We need Bello's bat, especially vs. a tough lefty such as Heaney.

    What I meant was that the Twins, O's and Rangers, and Rays want to overtake the Angels so they can play Toronto in the wild card game.. but as it stands, that would be at home at Rogers Centre. And yes, we are going to be a dangerous team in the postseason. Let's catch the Yanks first so that they end up in the wild card game and have to play the Royals if they get to the ALDS..

    But the rest of the lineup on the other hand.. just stinks. And Cron vs. a RHP is weaker than vs. LHP. But the Angels have very few options.. David Murphy batting cleanup? Not sure on that one.. oh, and his OF defense stinks. Green is up in an emergency situation because Giovatella is still sick.
