  1. At this point, I don't mind if they lose today.. at least it keeps Baltimore down(if Minny loses) and puts pressure on the Twins and Angels. And we're still 1.5 up on the idle Yankees. And of course, the pitching matchups for the Tigers and Indians series heavily favor Toronto.
  2. And if we get home-field advantage, we have a good shot at beating the Astros, as Houston has a lousy road record (26-36) Most of their wins have been at home. There's still the chance LA or Texas catches them.
  3. You can't bring guns to games. MLB protocol requires metal detectors and such at the gates. No way anyone could even try to bring a gun in. So stop worrying.
  4. 4 walks for Bautista tonight. That OBP is soaring after this..
  5. Verlander clean through 8.. and facing Ianetta, Cowart and Jackson for the 9th..
  6. We all miss BJ Birdy.. but the performer Kevin Shanahan owned him and his rights. By 1999, the Jays saw the money in having their own character they could control, so BJ Birdy was out, Ace (and Diamond, who was later cut in 2004) came in. And trust me, you do not want to see Ace's 2000-2003 look.
  7. Verlander through 7 with goose eggs in the H, ER column..
  8. At least Kevin Cash turned into a decent manager for the Rays.. and Greg Myers was good in 2003.. too bad he got hurt in 2004, which led to Gregg Zaun getting picked up by the Jays (and you wonder why he's now doing the pre-game show for Sportsnet, considering he was in Toronto for 5 years after that.)
  9. And adjusted for MLB, it's probably even worse.
  10. No Odor in the Rangers lineup: DeSheilds CF Choo RF Beltre 3B Fielder DH Napoli 1B Andrus SS Strausborger LF Gimenez C Alberto 2B And the Jays: Tulowitzki SS Donaldson 3B Bautista RF Encarnacion DH Smoak 1B Martin C Revere LF Pillar CF Goins 2B
  11. Yeah. 30%+ K rate in AAA despite the power and no plate discipline, just like when he was with Toronto and Texas.
  12. I wonder what this guy will be saying to Zaun and Hayhurst(if he were still working for Sportsnet) when the Jays play the Rays.. watch him play crappy defense and strike out 3-4 times a game..
  13. Gregg Zaun's most hated player is back in the big leagues. JP Arencibia has been purchased from Durham by the Rays, who lost Casali to the DL. Oh, and the Rays play the Twins tonight, who could move into the 2nd wild card if the Rangers lose.
  14. A few updates: Angels win 8-7 vs. Tigers, will be 0.5 game back of the Rangers if the Jays hold their 6-5 lead. Rays lost to the Twins 11-7, Twins also could be 0.5 back as well. Like anyone cared in St. Pete--9,632 fans showed up. Royals lead 3-2 on the O's. And of course, the Yanks were bloodied 15-1 to the Astros, a game where Crap Cushion sh** the bed and Brendan Ryan, a infielder, pitched 2 innings.
  15. Here comes the guy Farrell said had the best stuff in the Jays org. back in the day in Sam Dyson..
  16. Whoa, Brendan Ryan is pitching in New York right now...
  17. Well, the Yanks are getting blasted by the Astros like an asteroid hit them.. 15-0 Houston right now after Crap Cushion imploded...
  18. Goodbye Edwing! 5-4 now. The ball is flying tonight..
  19. Wow, that missed call hurt the Rangers.. 3-2 Jays! And I still feel Tulo touched the bag..
  20. Mushroom man strikes again! Tie game!
  21. Beltre is SO hot right now.. luckily, Buehrle limited the damage to 1 run.
  22. Tulo starts it off with a hit!
