  1. We had no business winning this game. Gallardo dominated us again. And Price needs to improve in the postseason..
  2. We've dominated Hamels in the past. And it's basically nothing but lefties for Games 2, 3 and maybe 4. Just win tomorrow.. or we're in trouble for Game 3.
  3. He is. He's a natural 2B/SS. But the Rangers replace DeShields and Hamilton late in games due to their lousy D, so they couldn't afford to carry Gallo.
  4. Finally, we get a run off Gallardo! Now let's get a few more..
  5. Huge potential blow for the Rangers with Beltre out. WIthout him, Texas's defense isn't that good and it hurts their offense.
  6. Wish they still had their MLB used on the local Fox Sports broadcasts.. the NFL on FOX music is not a fit.
  7. FOX, because they have exclusivity on broadcast for the AL playoffs and World Series (TBS gets the NL).
  8. Blame it on FOX's exclusivity on the broadcast. Nothing Sportsnet can do.
  9. Virtually EVERY US media outlet is picking the Jays to win. Not a lot of love for the Rangers, and I don't blame them, especially considering the Rangers limped down the stretch (5-5 in their last 10, facing contenders in the Astros and Angels, and losing vs. the Mariners.)
  10. Supposed to rain later. And MLB decides on the roof, not the Blue Jays.
  11. Got to agree with you. Rangers aren't actually that good. Most of their wins are inflated from playing non-contending teams like Detroit and in the AL West, and being the one team in that division that absolutely dominates the Astros. This team was barely above .500 before September..
  12. Boy, Tanaka is not sharp.. and a HR here pretty much could put the Astros on a plane to Kansas City, considering the Yanks are having trouble scoring.
  13. And Gattis just misses back-to-back jacks!
  14. Holy Colby Rasmus! That was just annihlated! 400 ft+.. oh wait, only 395.
  15. Take a seat A-Rod! Good inning.
  16. Not sure Hamels can be considered an ace.. much of his numbers were helped by playing awful AL West teams, especially in September when most teams are playing out the string.
  17. Holy lack of plate discipline so far by the Astros. Tanaka's making the Astros look awful.
  18. Blame FOX/Fox Sports 1/TBS. They only want BIG market teams in the US that bring ratings, and don't care for the Jays. Mets/Dodgers and Cards/Cubs or Pirates seem to have more priority. It won't help either if the Yanks get knocked out of the wild card tomorrow.
  19. Of course, pitching against bad AL West teams and getting decent run support against crappy Mariners/Angels/A's teams helps too. His numbers in the AL East are awful except for the O's. Red Sox and Yanks banged him around this season.. and the Jays will hit him hard most likely. O's were the only one he beat. And if rumors are true that the Rangers are using 3 lefties in the rotation in the ALDS, they won't last long.. especially when the Jays crush left handers. And BTW, Hamels has HR issues--20 HRs given up vs right-handers, and the Jays have a fair number of them.
  20. Not totally sold on Hamels. His numbers have been mixed since the trade.. even when he was still with the Phillies. Plus, his career numbers are poor--0-2, 6.97 ER, 1.935 WHIP, 6 HRs given up. He can get away with his stuff vs. a punchless team like the Angels, but he won't get away with it vs. the Jays.
