  1. Does anyone feel Loria is cheap because he drafted someone who was ranked towards late 1st round/early 2nd? Although it is nice to see some CanCon..
  2. Former Jay Nolan Reimold being called up by the O's.
  3. No chance of being Collabello'd tonight in the OF. He's at 1B. Donaldson getting a half day off, and Goins getting a day off too vs. the lefty.. and EE still out due to the cortisone shot. Hopefully he returns tomorrow:
  4. And he's not putting up decent numbers in AAA right now, making him an easy DFA. Likely replacing Dominguez in Fresno will be Johnathan Villar, who will likely be sent down because of his misplays, Correa's callup, and the Astros needing a starter for Wednesday (Vincent Velasquez).
  5. Carlos Correa era starts in Houston tomorrow. No more dumb plays by Villar at SS(although he wasn't sent down.. Jake Buchanan was the corresponding move.)
  6. We've picked up 2 full games in the wild card and 3 on the Royals. And someone between the Twins and Royals is going to lose ground this week.. they play each other. And the Rays and Rangers are due for regression.. especially the Rangers. No way they keep up this pace with Beltre and Hamilton hurting, and the Rays have a tough stretch coming against the Angels, White Sox and Nats.. sooner or later, that lack of offense is going to come back to haunt them. In addition, the Twins can help the Jays (and others) by beating the Royals and Rangers.
  7. Forget firing Gibbons and AA.. this organization in Seattle is where firings are needed! Jack Z and Lloyd McClendon both need to be fired after this horrible stand where they lost 9 of 11 to Cleveland, NYY and the Rays. Hopefully the ownership starts some firings during Seattle's off day on the way to Cleveland..
  8. Really hoping the Rockies run down the Marlins bullpen.. it's 2-2 in the 9th.
  9. Does anyone in Seattle know how to hit?
  10. First place Twins have pulled the plug on Danny Santana at SS. He's been optioned to Rochester(AAA), Kennys Vargas recalled. Escobar will be the everyday SS there.
  11. I'm more worried about leap-frogging the wild card teams right now. We're only a 1/2 game back of the sliding Angels (who got swept). And the Rangers aren't going to keep this pace up with Beltre and Hamilton out and a pitching staff pitching well over its head. As for the Royals.. they've got a tough stretch with Minnesota and St. Louis coming up. As for the Rays.. it will depend if they get ANY offense.
  12. Of course, this Reds team is as bad as Oakland (this season) at evaluating relievers. Reds are 29th in bullpen ERA (Atlanta is the worst). And BTW, despite struggles, Jays bullpen is 19th.
  13. Oakland's pen melts down again... Boston's going to sweep. On the plus side, we get to see Venditte again..
  14. Not much help from the Yankees.. they lead 6-2 on the Angels. At this point, I'm more worried about catching the Rays and Rangers first before going after the Yankees.
  15. BTW, RC now has wi-fi.. you could surf the net at RC now.
  16. You're out of your mind. Royals hang up quickly. Besides, the Royals don't really have the money to take on more payroll at this point.
  17. Meaningless chart, especially with the increased TV revenues. And TB is going to sink to Expos levels soon at their current pace. And Cleveland's attendance is more likely to sink below us than KC's... that charts is from between 1998-2014. Kansas City would have to win for several years before the Jays have to worry.. and I don't see it happening.
  18. Some coaches need to be fired there.. this was supposed to be an elite team, and instead they're chasing Oakland for the worst record.
  19. True. And soon, the Jays will start playing AL East teams again, which will give us a chance to put some separation.. and hopefully we can beat the Rays soon! Sooner or later, the Rays are going to fade.. there's not enough offense to help the strong pitching, especially once they face better offensive teams.
  20. Such as this week.. after the Astros, we have the circus that is the Marlins (featuring Giancarlo Stanton and his 500 ft HRs.)
  21. FINALLY! Mariners score their first run in days. And with King Felix going, hopefully it's enough to beat this punchless Rays team, which is lacking Longoria (wrist).
  22. WILL someone teach Seattle to score runs??? This is ridiculous.. I'll bet on a Mariners message board someone is saying "Fire McClendon now!"..
  23. And to show why the wild card(and maybe division when the Yanks fade once they face stronger competition that actually HITS..) is still up for grabs, the Rays are in trouble, as Odorizzi is DL bound:
  24. Wild card is still up for grabs too. Detroit and KC's slides have made it much closer.
  25. Of course, the Yankees have the Nats next.. and this Angels team has serious issues playing at Yankee Stadium..
