    The Rays are going to get tough teams soon.. this favorable stretch will end soon. And their July sked is BRUTAL... us, the Yankees, Royals, O's, Astros, Tigers. And one series with the Phillies. And likely still drawing <10K at the Trop..

    There's still the wild card. We're still going to be 1 and 2 back of each wild card after tonight. And we play the Rays next, in case you forgot. We can make up ground on them. And BTW, Cleveland is a bad team. 12th ranked pitching staff, no decent 5th starter, and inconsistency from many of their young arms. Oh, and they can't score..

    2 decent innings (1H, 1BB), but he didn't exactly fool the Giants, as they made him throw a lot of pitches (34, 21 for strikes). He will likely be optioned back to AAA Oklahoma City tomorrow for a fresh arm.

    The Rays in previous years didn't have to call up umpteen million guys from Durham because of injuries. And it's looking like another callup is coming, as Erasmo Ramirez is DL bound.

    Where? Their farm system is a bit thin.. and they can't keep purchasing contracts from Durham frequently. Most of the AAA staff is mostly AAAA veterans who have no business being on an MLB roster.

    Well I was wrong... just when I thought Boston turned the corner, Porcello craps the bed again.. and Sandoval got hurt with a potential leg injury. (and made a costly error at 3B). KC now leads 6-4. If he's DL bound, at least they'll have Brock Holt playing 3B for 2-3 weeks.. but they'll need to purchase a backup infielder due to Bianchi's DFA (Marrero?)

    I'd rather just take Soria. Price will cost a ransom of prospects.

    What is it with the Royals and the AL East? Red Sox are beating KC.. is it the crappy starting pitching the Royals have?

    The glory won't last for Cash when his overworked bullpen starts costing him games by July or August. And they're still waiting for Moore to return.

    Why do I even respond? Wade Davis isn't going anywhere, not with the Royals leading the division by a mile.

    We are witnessing the fall of the Detroit Tigers.. they're losing 4-0 to the Yankees (dammit!) Do you think it's time to blow up the Tigers roster? The team needs a rebuild.. or they're going to end up like the Phillies.

    Cubbies now up 3-1 on the Twins. Looks like the Jays will avoid losing ground for a day.. but they've got to win tomorrow, especially with the Tampa series coming.

    Rangers lose. So they can't move ahead of Minnesota or the Yankees.

    Twins/Cubs are tied at 1. A Cubs win would make this loss moot, as we would not lose ground in the wild card. But a Indians win would really help..

    Well, tomorrow is another day.. but it hurts more when the Yanks and Rays won't frigging lose a game! Go Tigers and Indians!

    Also note that the Twins and Yankees have games in hand as well, as do the Rangers. As for the wild card, there is starting to be separation, as the Angels struggle, Tigers remained mired in mediocrity, and the O's still have troubles with their starting pitching staff. Now all the Jays need is the Twins, Rays and Yankees to go into a slump while we win.. of course, we play the Rays next and can do that ourselves.

    BTW, Yanks lose ANOTHER CF.. Mason Williams hurt his shoulder diving to 1st. That's 3 OFs they've lost to injury.. and yet they're still a game ahead of the Jays.
