  1. Sorry to say this but I don't think Melky could cover half this amount of ground in LF http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2014_04_28_tbamlb_chamlb_1&mode=video&content_id=32452893&tcid=vpp_copy_32452893
  2. Split for pitcher match ups? I guess, though I'd rather have a guy that can play everyday... I think everyday reps leads to better performance unless they really can't hit lefty or righty.
  3. He's fun but I like Diaz better, personally. Diaz will probably give you a better OBP than Kawasaki in the long-run. But you really can't evaluate these players with such a small sample size in the majors (Getz, maybe). Kawasaki 2013 fWAR is not realistic.
  4. News flash: Kawasaki is not tangibly better than Goins or Diaz (might be worse), despite what your SSS fWAR might say.
  5. I don't like the yo-yo approach to baseball. Guy has a bad month, week, day, whatever and he get sent down. Either commit to a guy or don't. Goins had a bad month offensively and he was flawless defensively... I'd rather just see him stay then plug some other scrub in and disrupt any ability Goins had to get his feet planted.
  6. 'Higher ceiling'...... unreachable
  7. Uh, because he's an A not a J.
  8. I don't get why we can't just sign Stephen Drew for the rest of the year? He's depreciating his own value by not playing.
  9. He got the job done in the field, I'm still sorry to see him go for that reason. If the next guy doesn't make the plays and still blows offensively I'm gonna rage.
  10. Did what? They didn't do anything. Just replaced one pile of crap with another pile of crap, both piles of crap still stink.
  11. This move is so MEH I can't hardly stand it. All I really want out of my 9th hitter is ability to do fundamentals and get on base, and play solid D. Neither these guys are good enough.
  12. That's what he gets for not hustlin!
  13. Outside of that, what did you think of my concern about his energy levels / timing?
  14. David Lough's was better because he had to fly up into the air http://m.mlb.com/video/v32433257/?c_id=mlb
  15. IMO the Red Bull is doing him more harm than good, not even talking about whatever negative health effects it will cause him over time, rather the inability to maintain a constant energy level could really f*** with a guys consistency in all aspects of the game. Imagine that his energy level will always be fluctuating between normal to high and somewhere inbetween, rather than being constantly normal. I can't imagine anything messing more with a players timing at the plate or in the field.
  16. If you're looking at certain isolated stats, yeah he's been the worst. But overall I would find it hard to believe because his total bases would of been higher with the 21 HR and 18 2B.
  17. Haha. Did you watch Hill that year? Just because his stats are against norms doesn't mean he was lucky. He was on everything that year he hit 36. Don't be so naive.
  18. How utterly boring, reminds me of most other sports.
  19. Tanaka was pulled and Yanks tied it up in the 7th, meaing Tanaka will still be without a loss since the beginning of time.
  20. You may say that based on their peripherals from Japan but really you can't know that for sure.
