  1. Playing every day can make a big difference on offensive performance.
  2. I still think if given the chance to play everyday Kratz would out perform Navarro offensively.
  3. I haven't seen this mentioned and I don't know why. I'd much rather have Kratz as our everyday catcher over Navarro. If he was allowed to play everyday I suspect he'd better at every single area of the game (except probably hitting for average). He hasn't really proven his offensive abilities in the majors during various short stints but his last 4+ years in the minors are quite good. - Hitting for power and overall offense - Throwing out runners - Pitch-framing - Game-calling - Base-running/speed (minor upgrade, obviously) This post is probably coming at a bad time given the good night Navarro had... nevertheless...
  4. Regression does make sense in both cases. Though from my understanding progression to the mean makes sense too and is more descriptive since it distinguishes between negative regression and positive regression.
  5. LOL..... of course you can progress to the mean. What planet do you live on?
  6. ^Elbow
  7. He's worse then almost every option we already have.
  8. Same
  9. Well, at least it seems Cecil and his wife were meant for each other...
  10. Man Henderson Alvarez quietly putting up a dominant season... walks down even more, strike-outs up a little
  11. Highlight the post, he hid this: Huehuehuehuehue Crazy bastard
  12. Mainly this year he does... over his career it's not really... personally I'd go with the larger sample size, unless he's changed something in his delivery.

  14. I always thought of him as "great" since 2010-2011... not sure about this "good" reputation you're talking about. He's been amazing this year outside of leading league in HR allowed... too bad his team is s*** (or fortunately in our case)... Better question is why is he giving up so many HR ... a product of him throwing more strikes?
  15. f***ing loving Stroman... attacks hitters, displaying excellent command overall As a starter: 29.2IP 26K 5BB
  16. Neg. Ortiz doesn't want to do the Derby anymore (since like 2-3 years ago)... "too draining"
  17. I love how the Rockies are starting Christian Friedrich..... 26 years old and absolutely awful. Gotta love when these 1st round draft picks get way more rope then they deserve...
  18. I don't believe this team has a chance - everyone keeps banking that they will 'progress to the mean' but the truth is the only reason they have this astounding record is because all things we're going right in May and Edwin and Francisco we're playing out of this world baseball.
