  1. nobody said it would be easy...Yanks, Rays and O's to come. Tied and we have last poke...Going to come down to the pens. I'm feeling good. about this game.
  2. nice AB jose.....this guy is throwing very well.
  3. Cant give up outs with Mark B on the hill...have to make the plays. He didn't = tie game.
  4. Red Sox feed talking about how poor Penny is throwing from 2B last couple games....thought was DP all the way.,
  5. good job to get out of that bad inning with one run.....
  6. c'mon boys....tighten up. make the plays
  7. pfft. 54 HRs...how hard can that be to do?
  8. 2 good slides by Pillar!
  9. Swing the fking bat Penny. Ump is generous and this guy is throwing strikes
  10. Great AB by Goins against LHP. Our guys are going to get some hangers on all those curve balls.
  11. Navvy sitting dead red on 1st pitch. Nice job. this guy has 2 pitches he is throwing for strikes. He was guessing the right one.
  12. Its early. This line up should figure Hill out. JD missed a couple of mistakes.
  13. That's some fine pitchin right thar Papa B Nice DP
  14. Cant count out Papa B The last year he didn't pitch 200 innings in a season was 2000....wrap your head around that for a minute. That's unreal.
  15. Potash business. BHP Billiton and K+S spending tens of billions on their mines. Oil is in the tank so potash is the play.
  16. "High leverage" pen arms available today? Lowe Cecil Hendriks
  17. Yup....that's why I pointed to lots of tough ball ahead. You may see him today in long role if Mark B struggles (which, sadly, I expect).
  18. We don't have to make that decision now....good execs gather as much information as possible and then make decisions. We have today....HUGE series against NYY....Rays twice and O's to end the sched. Lots of tough ball ahead. Lets see how it plays out and make choices with maximum intel.
  19. Yup....makes me feel better about our pen implosion this aft. Still 1 gm back from KC and 3.5 over the Yankees. Not bad.
  20. Aside from the numbers alone he shows a propensity for being able to hit the ball away with power fairly consistently and also gets to pitches inside. On the neg as many has said his swing is a little long and his pitch recognition isn't great considering his decent walk rate. Overall this gives me hope he has quite a bit more upside.
  21. It doesn't really.
  22. 1. Goins is a + glove who has improved his BB rate and overall offensive performance for a relatively short period of time. 2. Tulo is an established 5 WAR player who was struggling(for him) on O for a relatively short period of time with the Jays. Troll post or not, making judgements about Goins as our fulltime SS > Tulo at this point is silly. Goins put up a 63 and 27 wRC+ in 2013 and 2014. No disrespect to Goins, who has been doing a solid job 2015, but Tulo's worst offensively is probably still going to be much better than Goins over a season.
  23. I would really love to go into the TROP...our own private House of Horrors...with the division clinched if at all possible!
  24. Im with Atothe. It pains me to pick up the RA option but SP is just so expensive and he eats innings AND he has been flat out good 2nd half again.
  25. A thread that started out of sarcasm, trolling appreciation threads now seems to have some juice. Every team that has big injuries needs some guys to step up nobody ever expected and he is doing a good job for us so far. I think Pompey could do same if on the 25 over Carrera.
