    I know we are up 2-0 but the # of K's for our offense is really getting old. We can let mediocre arms off the hook.

    2 of those strike calls were questionable. I don't care if Lariano also gets those calls.

    AL East is going to be a battle right to the end. None of these 3 teams are going to die off. We have to get healthier and stay that way.

    I think Benoit, for example, has walked 5 in 8 IP for us and given up 7 hits with 5Ks. If not for luck he would be tough to hide. You can hide someone in the pen in low leverage, but I don't think it's that easy when they are needed for key outs. Grilli came over here walking 6/9 but he has gotten that below 3 while he is K'ing 13. No need to hide.

    Don't you think he really has to get it together as a SP to really be of use? Hard to see them using him in the pen in any leverage with this BB/command issues, when they have Cecil. If you take him out of the rotation, it just makes Sanchez innings issues become the issue again. And of course we have RA and the fact that (notwithstanding a couple decent starts lately) his numbers overall have been awful.

    He has been ok but his FB command is really an issue. Pitching behind too often making the slider less effective. Walks are an issue. Same MO he came over with thus far.

    Ya, a few of his moves make me insane but he is a nice, loyal guy who seems comfortable in own skin. He doesn't care about what people say. Just does his thing. You get the sense this team of stars really likes playing for him. Even if I agreed with him being canned at some point, I wont enjoy it.

    That's not accurate. Tulo and Martin have been raking over all. Eddy has been steady. Series in HOU was an abomination...and we still won 3 of 4.

    Gibby honestly doesn't give a flying f***. I do love that about him. Old school. We could do a lot worse.

    He isn't as good as he was in the 1st half and he isn't a s*** as he has been so far since the AS game. He should be moved down a bit and left there until he gets its back together. We need that LH bat.

    I thought that was great. He and Gibby handled that like pros. Nobody got choked and they are going to keep it in the clubhouse where it belongs. Next....

    I admit our offense can't be frustrating at times but I think we are 3rd in total runs scored and 2nd in bombs. Although we feel this narrative is accurate at time, our offense has actually been good. Also, I think last year spoiled us all a bit creating some expectations that are hard to maintain. Go Jays!

    After awful starts in April May that had many posters writing their epitaphs and wondering how we could dump their deals Tulo WAR now 2.2 and Martin has snuck up to 1.3. Some even said Col rooked us. Not their best seasons, but heading in the right direction. Both of them now look more like the $20mm per players we brought in.
