    If he can still play good defense and hit passably well (like .600 OPS), he'll be very valuable to us. He can take some workload off Martin and we won't be watching that useless Thole every 5th day.

    I'm waiting the day Pillar comes in peace with his offense, to accept his limitations and to do the little things in offense: - stay patient, stop hacking - try to go opposite, try bunting ... When he does that and with his defense, he will be a good contributor to our team for years.

    I guess players realize what approch is better. They're professional players after all. IDK It's either a team philosophy or a lack of plate discipline.

    The 'role players' on our lineup actually played decent/good offensivelly. Smoak, Saunders, Carrera, Barney all surpassed my expectations. Our stars players, JoeBats, Edwin, Tulo and Martin have yet to perform to their norms. I was really impressed by the at-bats of Travis, Pillar and Barney against Betances last night.

    I know it's still early in the season but so far Sanchez has shown us he can be a very good SP. We all knew he's got the tools to be good one, just if and when he can consistently make good use of his tools. I always thought him in the bullpen is a waste of his talent. BTW I'm happily surprised by the good showing of Happ and Estrada.

    I sometimes just pretend we still have Syndergaard to feel good. Syndergaard, Stroman, Sanchez, with our lineup = WorldChamps 2016! Cubs who?

    That was against the old Sanchez. He'll go 2/17 with 2 singles against the new Future-Ace Sanchez this year! lol

    Sanchez has been the bright spot on the team so far this season. I hoped he would improve this year but never thought he would be this good this early. Can't wait to see how he does against RedSox and Orioles.
