  1. Heres the Jays from that list: BLUE JAYS Best Performance: Second baseman/outfielder Jon Berti hit .292/.418/.431 with three homers and six steals in as many attempts. Solid speed and athleticism are his best attributes, giving him the versatility to become an effective utility man. Best Prospect: Dalton Pompey, who's expected to start in center field for Toronto next year, showcased perhaps the broadest array of tools in the league. He batted .257/.358/.371 and finished third with nine steals.
  2. Upton also has the Jays on his No-trade list.
  3. The way I look at it is......Lets say Gose had a s***** spring (very good chance) we would have to carry him as he was out of options. his bat is something that needs a lot of time and work and thats something we can't afford to carry. So now we trade him for a guy with options and a position of weakness. Regardless whether Melky signs or not, this was a solid trade.
  4. Maybe that gives us more cash to spend on going a different direction or maybe not.....the plot thickens AA could be doing this as leverage
  5. i will bite off your tongue if they were to just sign 2 of the 3
  6. The Mariners are expected to shop outfielder Michael Saunders at next week’s GM Meetings, reports ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick (Twitter link). Saunders and the organization have had a recent falling out based on some comments that GM Jack Zduriencik made at season’s end. As chronicled by Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times, Zduriencik made comments suggesting that Saunders needs to reassess his offseason workout/maintenance habits in order to be better prepared to play over the course of a full 162-game season. Saunders declined to comment on the words from Zduriencik, but agent Michael McCann expressed both surprise, disappointment and frustration at the comments, feeling that they called Saunders’ work ethic into question. Zduriencik later attempted to clarify, telling Divish that the comment was a general statement that could be applied to any player and wasn’t intended as an attack on Saunders’ drive or work ethic, but the situation does appear to have fractured the relationship between the two sides. Crasnick notes that both the team and player seem ready to move on.
  7. I believe thats why the Ms are shopping saunders.
  8. Do we really want ANOTHER player that has bad drive or s***** work ethic........we might be better off to stay away from those types......Escobar, Rasmus etc
  9. I'd be ok with 4 as long as there is still cash in the wallet to get an infielder.
  10. I know what you are sayin with OUR luck, but remember this IS Morrow......Just not dependable at all. I'm glad we are past waiting for him to come back over and over.
  11. Keep goin boys.......I'm sure we could get this f***in thread to 100 pages
  12. I'm shocked .....I guess for coaches we have a team policy of 1 year only. No multi year deals here.
  13. Jays Home opener is against The Rays, the SEASON opener is against the Yankees
  14. Yes let's trade him now because our track record for trades is just sooo good!
  15. Ilike how Sanchez is trying to hide his beer by putting it on the floor
  16. I thought I remember us trading some guy for another teams funds in the international free agent signing period. I cant remember who it was
  17. The Blue Jays have acquired outfielder Adron Chambers from the Astros in exchange for two young minor leaguers, reports Brian McTaggart of MLB.com (via Twitter). Chambers, 27, saw limited action with the Cardinals over 2011-13 before signing a minor league deal with Houston. He has posted a .281/.356/.416 line in 102 plate appearances at Triple-A. Heading back to the Astros in the deal are youngsters Alejandro Solarte, a left-handed pitcher, and Will Dupont, an infielder.
