  1. Thole lets Navarro pinch hit.
  2. Any word yet on the roster for this series? I'm expecting Thole to make the cut this time, perhaps at the expense of Tepara. Or Carrera.
  3. Where's Aaron Loup? What's the family issue he's dealing with? Is he going to be back for this series?
  4. I wanted KC, I got KC. This one is gonna be for 1985, bitches. I've been waiting 30 years to even the score.
  5. Gonna be the Stro Show today boys. And a 5-1 Jays win. We'd better f***ing win.
  6. No offense Jonn, but not every great team makes the ALDS every year. Look at the Pirates this year. That could very well be us next year and then the window is closed. I'm not hear to spread bad vibes, I'm just hear to say ENJOY IT WHILE WE GOT IT!!!!
  7. Kit Kat, I hear what you're saying, in that it's closer than most people realize. I read something somewhere that said that Dave Stieb had the best .EQA 4 straight years in the AL from 1982 to 1985. In other words, he was basically the best pitcher in the AL for 4 straight years. A lot of that came from his superhuman IP totals which no modern pitcher approaches these days. In 1982, Dave Stieb threw 288.1 innings. This year the league leader was Clayton Kershaw who threw 232.2 innings. That's a difference of 55 innings. Basically, that's works out to a difference of 8 starts. 8 starts!! We're almost talking two different games here.
  8. Hey motherf***ers , a word to the wise. This may be our last playoff appearance for the next 22 years, so, ENJOY THE f*** OUT OF IT!! Let's DESTROY these **********S!!
  9. LET'S PLAY BALL!!!! I always thought that should have been Dave throw's a slider...., but hey, that's the way it went. The best pitcher in Jays history is Roy Halladay. Dave Stieb is second on that list, and maybe only because he got hurt and lost two seasons to injury. Regardless, #37 is still my favorite Jays pitcher of All Time, and outside of Roger Clemens, there wasn't better pitcher in the 1980's. LONG LIVE DAVE STIEB!
  10. I'm with others who kind of feel that this really isn't happening. We're really in the playoffs? Us? The perennially mediocre Blue Jays? From September on we all kind of knew we'd be in and now that the day is here I don't quite believe it. This is it. It's go time! The game is coming and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it!! The last time they were in the playoffs I was in high school and now I'm an old f***ing man. Is this really happening??? What do you want? Let's play BALL!!!
  11. Ok, it's 4:17 am in China and I'm still drunk. And I also just saw the lineup. What the f*** is this? Then B team one game I can see, but no two. This is completely wrong.
  12. Worst case scenario we are tied with KC after today, big f***ing deal. We got three games left and we will take care of business. That was my first impression. I ain't gonna lie to you, I'm in China and drunk and its 2:30 am. I don't like this move to sit Price and think that home field doesn't mean anything. This is f***ed up. Price should be going and we should be trying to get this magic number down to 2 and 1 and 0. I don't like it. It stinks and it stinks bad.
  13. Navarro is going to catch Estrada when he starts.
  14. I think it's pretty simple. Home field takes priority over all else. You keep everything on schedule until it's clinched. Once it is, you give Buehrle every opportunity to get the record. What I'd do is throw him in the last game no matter what and let him pitch 2 or 3 innings until he gets it. I say this because I think there's no way he starts in the post season. He's completely unreliable at this point. However, I still think they take him and put him in the pen so he's still an active part of the team and can provide leadership. Even with a bullpen role, I wouldn't expect him to see any action at all. If home field comes down to the last game of the season, sorry MB, those are the breaks. Thanks for your 197 or whatever it ends up being.
  15. Jays magic number to clinch home field is 4. After today it could be down to 1... with 4 games to go. We could do some serious damage today if everything goes right.
  16. I don't dislike Wilner either. Often times I think he is right as well. And sure he talks like the Oracle and rubs people the wrong way but that's just Wilner being Wilner. I enjoy the schtick.
  17. Steroid user Gregg Zaun. Zaun, STFU, I don't care what you think. Ain't it time for your next injection?
  18. AA? Not saying he doesn't have a role, because he brought the guys in, but he's the suit in the office. Gibby's actually with the team day in and day out. He's got to make what he was given work, and he has.
  19. Is the team winning? Yes. Does Gibby have them playing hard? Yes. Is the team ready to go everyday? Yes. John Gibbons is doing his job and doing it well.
  20. I didn't mind going to Lowe there. It's one of those fifty fifty moves you can see both sides of.
  21. I think you start Dickey Game Two because you want him pitching at home, not on the road. Give Stro Game 3.
  22. Last night was another brilliantly managed game by Gibbons. He's pushing all the right buttons.
  23. Today is the day that David Price is gonna win the CY. Gonna be a great day, boys and girls. Enjoy it.
  24. I've been pushing for more Colabello all year. I ain't stopping now. Give me the guy with the OPS. Give me the guy with the PRODUCKSHUN
