Martin caught Dickey last night and looked pretty frustrated. He also looks baddd each game after catching Dickey. Not ideal, but understandable. This will be a issue IF this team makes the playoffs..

Every player throughout the season will have slumps. JD went 1-13 or something just as bad during that period as well. Using a slump as a excuse to sit a player is terrible. Besides if that was the case Pillar/Gonis would have sat a long time ago. Think they are marketing Navvy or just honestly love him.

With a lefty on the mound today? This is more defensible than Goins at LF last night, leaving Smoak on the bench instead of 1B. If Smoak isn't in tomorrow however, that will suck!

I am not saying I hate Blair. I am just saying that if he was fired from talking about baseball tomorrow I wouldn't miss him. He could be right, he could be wrong. Norris could just have sunk in the Jays eyes or not. I just wouldn't trust him on anything he says.

I don't think Blair likes Norris much lol. He seemed annoyed when the media kept on talking about him and his van pre-season and always brought up the idea of trading him. His daughter must have wanted to date Norris or something.

Once Pompey admitted he was playing "scared", he played himself out of the position. I think the Jays did mishandle him in that he shouldn't have been up to start with, not his demotion. Hindsight is 20/20, I thought that Pompey was able to handle himself after last season's performance and early spring training. Think Keith Law and other "pundits" thought the same so the Blue Jays weren't completely out of blue when he was up. The comments about being away from the media is also a little concerning, but I am putting stock into something I know nothing about so it doesn't say much. Either way, hopefully he is able to build his way back. Solid so far for NH.

I've listened to baseball central every now and then, regret it each time, and Barker is an idiot. Some gold pieces: - Sanchez is the ace of the staff, our best pitcher then a few days later thinks Sanchez is best going to the bullpen (this latter one isn't that dumb, but its funny how he goes from a ace to closer in his head) - Goins has found his approach (after the game where he had a HR last time) I am sure there is more, but I stopped listening. I realized that I can get the same level of stupidity on the TSN/Sportsnet comment section than listen to Barker/Blair. The only real "plus" the show has is when guest speakers like AA show up.

Lefty on the mound against the Jays? AcEstrata on the mound? We're playing at home? Win or lose, its a loss to this team if they don't at least score 7 runs tonight and AcEstrata doesn't take another no-hitter/perfect game into the 8th.

Yes, bottom of the order hitting, no one out, top of the 3rd inning, sending a runner from 1-2nd while the man at the plate has a full count. Oh what a terrible terrible plan.

What makes you think Jack Z had lost leverage in the trade? Did you know what he wanted vs what he got? I.e. He was aiming for xxx player but only settle for Happ? I get what you are saying however and it is a good point. AA, wanting to or not wanting to trade Navvy, wouldn't be on the air bashing him. Would be a interesting case study if there was a report done on a GMs comment on a player and their returned value in a trade.
