Terrible outing for Graveman, but I think he'll still become a solid no. 3 or so pitcher. Wish we could have subbed in Sanchez instead. Billy was drunk the day he traded Josh, could have tried to get Reddick too.

Hamilton honestly reminds me of Pillar on roids. Worse hitter, better defender and base runner. If he could hit/had a decent OBP he would probably destroy the league. Already 44 SB and putting up 1.6 WAR on his defense/running alone. At 52 wRC+ that is amazing.

I think there was some speculation just to give Burly more time to heal his leg/foot from the pitch he took off it last game. Hutch and Dickey have extreme home splits so them starting makes sense, Estrada is the odd one. They may just be hoping for another no-no to the 8th. *shurgs*

I don't think anyone is proactively advocating trading Pillar. It is just under the assumption that if a GM out there falls for him and overpays then you make the move. I.e. Pillar for Miller + DJ Peterson from M's *hypothetical!*. This is also likely because the sentiment of Pillar being a 4 OF has still carried from the offseason/previous years. While he is trending in the right direction to be more than that, it is still a small sample size. 355 PA this year where at least 100 of that was utter crap at the plate. 4th OF while great aren't something you should hold out on from improving the roster if possible. Also the above statement can also applies for everyone on this team. Not just Pillar.

I thought he had more SB but nope, 14 is right. Honestly, I am not sure on Pillar. Heading into the season I thought he was just a 4th OF and wanted AA to sell high on him after his first hot start. He did have a pretty terrible May and a pretty great June. He is hitting 97 wRC+ (below league average) this season but with his defense/base running it certainly makes up for that. He doesn't have a crazy BABIP either at .315. I wouldn't mind if he is traded for the right piece but with Saunders/Bautista future in the OF in question heading forward and Pompey the only real replacement option in the minors it may be more beneficial to hold him. Also grats to Ang. I think he was the only one that predicted Pillar would be a breakout player this year. Kudos to you, you crazy Mexican.
