    Indians acquire Moss for a second base prospect who is like number 9 on their prospects list. If that's all it takes to get Moss, i think we overpaid for Donaldson.

    I been trying to go over the rules in regards to international amateurs going against the money pool and couldn't find anything about Europe, it seems like MLB is creating individual agreements with countries who provide talent and so far that has mostly been Latin America. If i'm right, it's very possible that whatever we gave him doesn't go against any pool money.

    It says that he signed a 7 year contract, doesn't say a number. If he did sign for a lot of money, does it go from the international pool or is it separate?

    Did we actually use any money to sign him? If it's the usual 1-5k then the more the better.

    Been watching some defensive highlights of Donaldson and i'm really happy about his range, we need someone to cover Reyes and it was missed when Lawrie was on the DL. I'm glad that Donaldson has what it takes to cover the gap between short and 3rd cause we all know Reyes can't.

    It does make sense. To the public it looks like we are saving money. Internally, AA may know we are already over budget so he need to cut the payroll to stay within budget.

    I doubt there is money to spend. Knowing this organization they probably save money just to keep up with their real salary expectations.
