To be honest, i don't think i'm paying what the A's just did and i'm not sure i'm breaking the bank on Shark cause he's a NL pitcher. At least the A's got a NL ball park for him. -

Pff, then it's no big deal to be honest. Only 14-15mil or so. It may seem a lot because their cap was like 2mil but still, not that much. They should go after all the top prospects and add 500k to every offer they have.

I know that, but will be interesting to see how much over the 2mil they really are. With tax, it could cost them more than 30mil this year.

We got lucky a little bit to be honest. Ump wasn't giving any border line strikes on the outside to righties, which 95% of umps give. And then the fact that pretty much their entire lineup was chasing those high fast balls was crazy.

Zobrist isn't having a good year, that's for sure. EDIT: Funny part, he still put up 2.2 WAR as of right now, a bit chunk of it seems to be from defense. Offense wise this year is similar to his down year in 2010 where he put up 3.7 WAR.

The TV deal between CFL and TSN is worth around $40mil per year until 2018. They also just signed a TV deal with ESPN to show most of the games in the US. The CFL model is fairly profitable, the only team that was losing money was the Argos but that changed in the last 3 years or so.

You guys are under estimating what the CFL teams are worth, Riders should be well over 100mil. I know Lions are worth about 70mil and lately the Argos been making profit. Lions and Argos share the same owner and i'm certain he believes Lions and Argos aren't too far apart in terms of value.
