    He doesn't have protection behind him cause Tulo been crap. On a serious note, he seems to be trying too hard at the moment, probably the same bug that the rest of the lineup suffers from.

    I just looked at Brooks and he did hit 96 2-3 times out of 10 pitches in the 7th.     It actually looked like he was mixing speeds, he was throwing 92-94 and then 96-97 even in the 7th.

    According to Statcast, Goins is the best in the league in release time from when the ball hits his glove to when he throws it away.

    His defense looks pretty good to me, what are you guys basing your claims that his defense is no where near 2015?

    Just below league average with the bat and elite defense is pretty good IMO.
