  1. What about our farm system? The better teams seem to always have a player to step up into a key role. The Cardinals are a good example of using their farm system when so many players were injured or on the dl last season.
  2. If we build them (prospects), they will come (championships). Brenden Kalfus is one of the best switch-hitters in our system. Speed, great arm and defense and a batting title. I agree with you "King" - "Long Live King Kalfus!"
  3. He hit .220 with 46 hits last season! Lets advance players from our own system and promote them. Brenden Kalfus and others in the Blue Jays system will provide the foundation for multiple playoff runs and winning seasons.
  4. Kalfus has a proven record. And does anyone care about the pitcher that Kalfus and his teammates on the Canadians are going to face tonight? 1st round pick who already tested positive for Adderall, a banned performance enhancing substance! Every major professional sport bands this. Hockey has a zero tolerance for it. And no one even cares anymore? I though the MLB was cleaning this up? BKal has a solid history of performing against the top draft picks while in college and it should continue here in the pro's. The Canadians are an offensive force!
  5. Great wrap-up of the 4th of July games!
  6. Gray and Blair already tested positive for Adderall prior to the draft but it doesn't matter? ADDERALL, a stimulant, is completely banned in all major professional sports. In hockey, there are No exemptions - no medical excuse! The Vancouver Canadians are facing 1st rounder Aaron Blair tonight who TESTED POSITIVE FOR THE STIMULANT ADDERALL and nobody cares? His representatives say it was a one-time thing - just like all of the other athletes say when they get caught! Why are these prospects given the pass?
  7. Brenden Kalfus, the 2013 draft pick out of the loaded West Coast Conference won the batting title! He can flat out hit from both sides of the plate!
  8. I think you are right. Brenden's stance is more like Chipper Jones but he will probably project more like Lance Berkman. Either way, these are great hitters to be compared to. BKal has put up solid numbers at every level and adapts quickly.
  9. Video shows doubles from both sides of the plate. Similar to Chipper Jones. Maybe Kalfus can play 3rd base to.
  10. I looked it up and Brenden Kalfus went to the same high school as Reed Johnson in Southern California. I think Kalfus has better tools though.
  11. Where do you project Brenden Kalfus (recent draft pick) to be next season? He is a all-around athlete that hits from both sides of the plate, won the batting title this year in D-1 for the West Coast Conference and has garnished several awards in college. 4 tool player (power still to come) with a great bat, great glove and speed, and an accurate strong arm (already has 4 outfield assists from right field!). Many of us who have seen him in Vancouver believe he is going to be with the Blue Jays soon. He looks confident and his approach to the plate (and how he runs to his position) is legit! Kalfus simply performs and impacts the game.
  12. Where can we find Brenden Kalfus Baseball cards? I want to have him sign some while he is playing in Vancouver.
  13. Great Streak Blue Jays. Where can we get a Brenden Kalfus baseball card? BKal is a 2013 Draft pick and is on the Vancouver Canadians. Will the Canadians have a signing day for him?
  14. Vancouver Canadians game about to begin. We get to listen to BKal play tonight. Hitting third against a lefty -"Kalfus Fans Unit".
  15. . Thank you for having the survey. Brenden Kalfus (not brendan) is the 6' 190lb switch hitting outfielder from California. He won the Batting title for the West Coast Conference (which had the 2nd overall pick and 29 total picks from this years draft), set 2 All-Time NCAA D1 WCC hitting records (last set over 26 years ago i saw), had the Nations longest hitting streak in D1 in 2013 (the NCAA showed 36 straight games), and was awarded a Captial One Academic All American for District 9 ( one of a total of only 10 players in 8 states and Canada!). Kalfus looks to be the future for the Blue Jays outfield.
  16. Kalfus let the West Coast Conference (which had the #2 pick in the draft along with 28 additional 2013 draft picks) in several categories. He is All-West Coast Conference 3x! Totally legit against several 1st and 2nd round (and later round) pitchers. Kalfus as also one of only 10 players total out of 8 states and Canada to be awarded a Capital One Academic All American District 8 in 2013. He is a complete player.
  17. Kalfus will be part of a championship Blue Jay team. Sometimes we have to open our eyes to see. and we get to see him live in Vancouver.
  18. This isn't Brenden, this is a true Blue Jays fan. Not someone who hates, but someone who loves the game and loves a player who can and will help bring the Blue Jays back to the top where we belong.
  19. Kalfus is a great pic. Anyone who judges a player from a handful of at-bats shows a lack of understanding of baseball. Brenden Kalfus is the real deal. Stars always rise to the top. You would trade Tex (from the Yankees) at the beginning of each season. Blue Jays know how to find talent and they scored with Kalfus.
  20. Kalfus hit 3rd in the line-up when he won the batting title. He should be starting tonight. Great player.
  21. "Kal" is the real thing. He is a legit player. fun to watch. Old school hustle and class.
  22. Kalfus will be the future of the Blue Jays outfield. Kal is the real deal.
  23. Kalfus, the "California Kid" will be the future of the Toronto Blue Jays Outfield. Currently a four tool player, his power will come. Go Kal.
