  1. I just read that the "Official King Kalfus Thread" was being closed by Gsnaris because he thought it wasn't "providing any value any more." The value is that it excited thousands of fans to follow the Blue Jays in the hope for a winning team (for the first time in over 2 Decades!). As mlbprospects said," king - so someone is closing the king kalfus thread? 47,000 viewers and a popular player really worried some blue jays moderators that their threads or favorite players weren't nearly as popular. the blue jays will lose thousands of fans. kal will make it to the mlb and this moderator can get joy in his spread of hate and spend time with his hater friends with his losing team. baseball is fun and kal is a promising young player who has done everything the right way - and his fans will always be there to support him. this toronto blue jays message board is for a moderator to control and dictate what they want said and control who they want saying it. maybe the moderator is from another continent where freedom doesn't exist!" Well said "mlbprospects." Kal brought thousands of fans to the blue jays and to this thread. We will still closely follow kal as he makes his way to the MLB. "Gsnaris" isn't the moderator and controller of the Toronto Blue Jays or its fans! We love baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays and future prospects like Kal!
  2. Has anyone seen Kevin Pillar play this season to see it he changed his swing? He looks like he is struggling at the plate but the season is still young.
  3. Goin Goin Goin to have another last place finish? What do you think? Nice throw? That's the best we have?
  4. Kal was a senior pick out of college in the 23rd round in 2013. WCC batting champion who has won 2 championship rings in the last 3 years (1 in college and 1 with Vancouver), Captial-One All American in 2013, and All-star starter for Vancouver in short season following the draft. Like Jacoby Ellsbury who was drafted in the 23rd round, Kal can flat out hit to all fields from both sides of the plate. Drafte picks can sometimes become a core of a championship team and Kal looks to become one of a new core coming up to Toronto!
  5. C.C.Sabathia also lost a lot of weight. His velocity is also down to 88 on his fastball. I agree with you in that control and command are most important.
  6. I can't see it either. Miss the old avatar "King."
  7. Solid response. Go Blue Jays and away with the hate!
  8. Time for some BKal in the outfield for the Jays. He led the conference in outfield assists from right field every year he played and let the Canadians in short season.
  9. Agreed! Lets not trade our talent like we did when we traded then unknown Michael young from our farm system for Estaban Loaiza. Young went on to have a .300 career ave. as well as be a 7 time All-Star.
  10. BKal won a ring in college while in Bethesda. His team ranked above all Cape Cod teams for the first time in the team or leagues history. And now he helps with a historic 3-peat. BKal is a winner!
  11. I agree "King." Kinsler would have been great for the Jays. He was an 17th round pick out of college, is a three time All-Star and he was just traded to the tigers for Prince Fielder. In college, he transferred to ASU his soph year but sat on the bench. Transfered to a 3rd college and was drafted in the 17th at 21y/o. He reminds me of what Brenden Kalfus will be for the Blue Jays. They are similar in size yet kalfus is a switch hitter.
  12. "King" have you heard any news about when the minor leagues will be reporting to spring training? Those were great posts on Kalfus hitting on the other thread. The Blue Jays have some really solid prospects coming up.
  13. And when we are on the top of the American League east with a title, and Kalfus is part of our core line-up, we can remember when you started it all "king." From college batting champion to MLB All-Star. Go Kal-El!
  14. Go BKal. He will help get us to the Playoffs soon.
  15. No. I'm not a "bot." I just want the Blue Jays to get to the playoffs. The last time we did, Brett Lawrie was 3 years old! So, lets do something different. I don't see how getting a player who hit .177 in 2012 and .200 in 2013 and working on his defense at a new position is going to help us get there. I do like Brenden Kalfus as a future call up in the outfield and there are some good middle infield prospects within our system. Lets develop them!
  16. How will changing from 3rd to 2nd improve his hitting?
  17. Morel, a 3rd round pick in 2008, hit .177 in 2012 and .200 in 2013. I think we have better players in our system.
  18. Attendence would go up as the wins go up and a core group from our farm system that includes Kalfus will help get us to the playoffs.
  19. It looks like a few of the Canadians will be starting at Dunedin. Brenden Kalfus should be starting there to. This could be the beginnings of a "core four" that stays together thru the system and up to the bigs.
  20. Reyes, Bautista and Izutris are solid. I dont think that Cabrera will be the player that the Blue Jays hoped he would be. He used PEDs for some time and after being caught, his numbers went down and his injuries went up. I would rather Pillar and Kalfus (in the near future) manage the outfield for the Jays.
  21. Spring Training is just a few weeks away. We can't wait for the season to start. Kal-El and some other prospects will develop into the core of the Blue Jays which will help bring us some championships! Go BKal!
  22. And they seem to have a knack for knowing how to develop their players to contribute in the majors. Similar to how the Patriots draft players that no one else would yet they develop them into impact players who help the team win year after year. Brenden Kalfus of the 2013 draft will have a great impact on the Blue Jays and I think that other players in our system will to.
  23. Maybe in 2015 as call up and compete for a starting role in 2016.
  24. And they develop the talent they have in their system. We have talent. Our reputation is that we don't know how to develop it. I think pure hitters, like Brenden Kalfus of the 2013 draft, and others in the system will contribute and become stars in the MLB.
