  1. The Donaldson trade wasn't smart...for the Athletics.
  2. Could you imagine if the Jays didn't trade perennial All-Star Robinson Diaz for that journeyman from Pittsburgh? Oh how things could have been.
  3. He wasn't born today, but rather a few weeks prior. It's why Aaron had to miss time.
  4. I've never missed them as much as I did prior to these playoffs. My God the FOX broadcast was simply brutal.
  5. Pompey definitely needs a second chance to start the season, he proved almost as valuable as Revere just coming in from the bench to steal. Would be nice to see if anyone wants Revere for something reasonable. I think Pillar is underrated league-wide so it would not be wise to trade him, though he's likely more of a 2-3 win player going forward. Bautista needs to start the transition to 1B ASAP.
  6. He had quite his share of douchebag moments, plus he played/plays for the Yankees so that never helps. I don't like him but like many others I agree that his treatment by the MLB is embarrassing.
  7. We can't afford to lose Bautista, EE, Tulo, etc. in a game of this importance. You have to ride it out. I only consider Colabello and mayyybe Martin in a critical spot since the former usually gets replaced for defensive purposes anyways.
  8. Cheaters gotta root for other cheaters. -FOX broadcast in a nutshell
  9. Um, thanks but that's not the link he was asking for lol.
  10. Um, Hendriks has a GB rate of 46.3% and a(n unsustainable) HR/FB or 5.5%...
  11. If both Sanchez and Davis are out of the game then this is a win-win situation for the Blue Jays lol.
  12. I lol'd at switch hitter. Those damn ambidextrous fags.
  13. You said Revere+, like every other hypothetical ever posted here in the form Player X+, I assumed that Player X was headlining our end. Usually when people post something like Revere+ they don't mean Revere + Encarnacion.
  14. I'm not sure that you do, his biggest concerns are his mechanics and potential injury history that may come with it. Revere is a 1-2 win player, which isn't nothing, but it certainly isn't on the level of a starter of Ross' caliber. Guess the starters: 205.0 IP, 3.34 ERA/2.92 FIP/3.06 xFIP/5.0 WAR 196.0 IP 3.26 ERA/2.98 FIP/3.15 xFIP/4.4 WAR 212.1 IP, 3.65 ERA/3.47 FIP/3.40 xFIP/4.2 WAR Two of them are considered aces/#1 pitchers across baseball.
  15. That's like me saying the Jays should trade Cliff Pennington+ for Josh Reddick. The + generally represents a smaller piece, a deal centered around Revere is not getting you Tyson Ross. Ross is not a "decent" SP, he's quite good actually.
  16. Have you looked at the NL East? The Phillies are the worst team in baseball, the Braves suck, the Marlins had rough starts from 2/3 of their promising outfield, and the third member was gone for significant time due to injury (and aside from Jose Fernandez and a few other notable players, their team just isn't that good); the Nationals, the only other good team on paper, underperformed a lot except from outstanding contributions from Harper and Scherzer. The Dodgers are another team that feature two aces plus very strong depth at every position. What happened to them? You would think Kershaw and Greinke pitching 4/5 games would be a lock, considering that during the regular season the Dodgers' offense was much better. That's just the way the playoffs go.
  17. Don't forget the injured Zack Wheeler, who could also be very good.
  18. Hawk Harrelson would be more impartial than this.
  19. Step aside Joe DiMaggio, there's a new Mr. October in New York, and his name is...Daniel Murphy?
  20. People understand that Volquez was pretty bad, right? 5:4 K/BB, gave up a bunch of line drives, few groundballs...
