    I see where you're coming from, but the potential risk in giving Mauer a free base to pitch to Sano is huge. Sano may have looked bad today, but he could have just as easily had a mammoth homerun and no one would be surprised. We both know who out of those two guys we would prefer making good contact, and that's not Mauer.

    I'll be that guy and say that in defense of the Twins, Ervin Santana is a pretty decent starting pitcher. But yeah, the team is not doing so hot right now. The team has had pretty awful luck in this game as well.
