Ken Griffey Jr. had 630 well positioned flyballs and he was a near-unanimous Hall of Fame selection. I don't see anyone complaining about his approach at the plate, and if someone actually did then they probably aren't/weren't very smart.

Good pitcher, not elite, not "game over" kind of pitcher.

Who cares? Homeruns are a good thing, why are we trying to discredit them? Encarnacion, Bautista and Donaldson all seemingly go up there and try to hit the ball as hard as possible in the air everytime, and it works out great. I'd take a walk and a homer over a few "well-placed" singles every day of the week, and I don't see why anyone would prefer different.

That's kind of how it goes. Good pitchers tend to have the advantage, great hitters like Donaldson are just too good sometimes.

I think most of the analytical guys were fully on board. Carrasco is a stud. Of course this is much easier to overlook in hindsight.
