  1. Even with the Cardinals f***ing up a lot our luck has still been rather terrible.
  2. Despite the run Joe Smith continues to be nails.
  3. Meh, I'd prefer the superior Smith over JP Howell, even if the latter is a lefty specialist. Carpenter is good against anyone.
  4. If the truth is that Martin continues to be an exceptional catcher and crucial to the Toronto Blue Jays' roster then I'd love some more of them truths you got going there.
  5. Okay sure, I guess that's your opinion even though it's been shown that there's basically no correlation for "clutch" in consecutive years, it's completely random. But alright, let's leave it there. Since the Blue Jays have signed him, he's been the 4th most valuable catcher in baseball (framing not included), as well as the 8th best hitter among catchers, with a 106 wRC+, which is above average for the league, let alone catchers who are always far below average hitters as a whole.
  6. Damn Pearce really cannot buy a hit right now. Awful luck for him.
  7. On one hand, that was a really tough ball to read off the bat and play as it's coming right over your head, but Fowler nearly misplayed that as well.
  8. Clutch isn't a real thing. He's hit well overall, that's what matters. And yes, we mostly did pay him a lot of money to be an elite defensive catcher with average offense. He's earned every penny of his contract up to this point, and much more.
  9. Holy f*** the Cardinals are making a ton of fundamental mistakes.
  10. Smart play by Travis there. Just keep it simple, let Biagini take care of the rest.
  11. Batting average doesn't mean a whole lot though. More importantly is that he's still still getting on base at a very good rate, and he's hitting for pretty good power when he puts the ball into play. Combine that with his elite defense and his handling of the pitching staff and Russ has been fantastic for us.
  12. Alright Darwin, extend the lead right here.
  13. For me I kind of want him to do well because he used to be a really good pitcher. It sucks to see talented arms become shells of their former selves.
  14. f*** that was a brilliant 2-strike corner.
  15. Latos has a low pitch count but definitely take him out at the first sign of trouble.
  16. I mean, it hasn't really been close lol. The Jays have just been timely with their hits and Latos is getting pretty lucky. Doesn't help that the Cards are booting the ball around.
  17. Jesus Christ that nearly caught him flush in the face.
  18. He looks like he has a good eye at the plate but he can't connect on anything.
  19. This ump scares the s*** out of me with the way he just steps back after a pitch.
