  1. I only disagree with one of those things.
  2. He projects significantly better than AJ Reed, 120 wRC+ is nothing to sneeze at. Having him play all over the field ala Marwin Gonzalez would be a much better usage of his abilities.
  3. What do you find so weird about this? He was a shortstop his whole career but also played some third base in the later years. He won't be a Gold Glover but he should be able to handle all of these positions adequately. It was pretty dumb to use him as a 1B.
  4. There is none. You have to go into desktop mode in your phone if you want to thank posts. I actually prefer the desktop version over the mobile on my phone but that's just me.
  5. Guerrieri is also starting depth technically.
  6. In two days the Diamondbacks turned their OF into Pollock, Souza, Dyson and Peralta and all it cost them was $7.5M over two years and Brandon Drury and Anthony Banda. Not too shabby.
  7. As a Solak owner I feel the same way, but this is just a terrible deal for the Rays and a steal for the DBacks.
  8. Wtf are the Rays doing? Also Drury kind of sucks so I'll be glad if that's the main piece that the Yankees are getting.
  9. Tigers closer Shane Greene on the move. Inquire within. Also available are Julio Urias, Maikel Franco, Vince Velasquez, Dansby Swanson, Jose De Leon. Preferably looking to package for a better player but we'll hear you out.
  10. He could just be very dumn (likely is) but the fact that you don't mention their best pitcher - by projections, scouts, literally everyone in the game - in an article about the future of the team just shows that little research went into this. It's sloppy and embarrassing that such a thing would happen, and that an editor wouldn't point out this very glaring omission.
  11. GET ON THE PHONE SHATKIS. GET THAT MAN OUT OF THERE cf
  12. Top offer for Tulo is MiLB 32 for Tulo + MiLB 44
  13. I really like this for you. I'm weary of Pomeranz.
  14. Definite cuts: Yunel Escobar Jurickson Profar Chris Rusin Carter Capps Mallex Smith Josh Fields On the brink/available: Andrew Heaney Tim Anderson Joe Mauer Mike Montgomery Curtis Granderson Bryan Mata (prospect) Troy Tulowitzki Jason Heyward
  15. Nice deal for both of you.
  16. Lol Tulo
  17. I thought this was the pitcher at first. The Angels have had an excellent offseason.
  18. I agree with most of what you said, but lol @ "which Osuna we will get". The 3 win one or the 1.8 win one?
  19. Lol Wil Myers back to the outfield thanks to this deal. Lmao @ the Padres
  20. The point I'm making is that he'll make the team not just because he's "one of the only lefty relievers", but because he's really good and the bullpen is otherwise garbage outside Osuna. Here's what Abom's projection of the bullpen was back a couple of pages ago: Osuna Biagini Loup Tepera Barnes Mayza Axford Not that Mayza is the difference maker, but he should easily be there over Axford or any other replacement (Craig Breslow is really bad) and he might be better than Loup.
  21. I'd also prefer a proven elite player who happens to be insufferable over someone not as good who may or may not be as insufferable. That's the point I'm trying to make here. Obviously it's up to you if you don't like him and would prefer to see him in another team, but there's no denying that he's excellent and were we to shop him, the Blue Jays would be expecting a big return. Don't undermine the man's talent level and value around the league just because he acts like a whiny kid on Twitter.
  22. Only the one but I specifically went and targeted him. He's gonna be the next Leone.
  23. Breslow is terrible though. I could see Loup making it but I'd really hope they let Mayza have his chance at the big league level. He's not just a LOOGY, his stuff is legit against anyone.
  24. Um, Stroman is pretty elite. Come on guys, don't let hatred over his childish antics point away from the fact that Stroman is an excellent pitcher under cheap team control. Teams would absolutely pay a premium to acquire his services. I'd much rather keep him anyways, part of what makes him so good on the mound is his attitude. If acting like the world is against him at all moments helps the Blue Jays out, then I'll always be a Stroman fan regardless of his off-the-field comments.
