  1. We will most certainly take that. Great DP by the Cuban boys.
  2. He's just so awkward out there.
  3. I don't think Pearce was getting that anyway but that was so bad.
  4. Veteran move from Solarte, that's a tough hop.
  5. Carved him up with changeups.
  6. Nice play by Devers, he needed that one.
  7. I'm one to admit when I'm wrong and Sanchez has looked brilliant thus far. Hope he keeps it going.
  8. Poor Devers, he's getting the worst bounces and struggling to make the play every time.
  9. That was horrendous from Nuñez but nice to see Sanchez go to the high heat again.
  10. We'll take it! Devers has not looked good at the hot corner. On second look Hanley definitely should have at least caught that and prevented the throw into the stands.
  11. Buck wants Teoscar to drive the ball with authority as opposed to slapping it the other way. It's obvious Pat Tabler brings him down.
  12. Oh my god what a slide! Ugh just missed the homer by a foot.
  13. No walks and a strike out, that's more like it.
  14. So basically his changeup is always 5 mph slower than his fastball, it just depends on how fast the latter is. I'll take the 95-97 every day though.
  15. Man Buck and Shulman without Pat is a dream come true.
  16. Like, a 25% K rate is his current projection lol. If he can do that at 20 years old I think the Braves will feel pretty good about themselves.
  17. Sanchez is pretty awful and I don't expect anything good out of him but let's hope the offense brings it today and/or he flukes his way to 6-7 innings of low run scoring.
  18. The pitcher still needs a target though, plus someone to call the pitches. The latter I suppose could be replaced by an ear piece or the pitcher throwing whatever they want but that sounds pretty f***ing stupid lol. It's really hard to aim at nothing, so I don't think the catcher's position would change at all, the catchers could just put themselves in a much more comfortable position like sitting up by their knees rather than a straight crouch. They still have to catch the ball when someone's on base and when a hitter has 3 balls or 2 strikes with no one on, so I don't think this is something fundamental to consider or anything. Also the ball still has to get back to the pitcher, and it's much faster if the catcher is receiving and tossing back in their current state than sitting behind the backstop or something dumn like that. Foul balls are also a thing, that's why catchers are assigned to their circle and can't just stand wherever they want.
  19. His situation is a tough one to evaluate and he should be given some leeway imo. First of all, yes he wasn't viewed highly by scouts and all that crap, that should be taken into consideration strongly, perhaps he simply doesn't have the batspeed and the tools to succeed at the higher levels. But the stuff with his mom must have made it brutal for him, there's no way he's been right mentally or emotionally for a while now, and that as much as physical tools can make a gigantic impact on performance. He may never pan out, but the way I see it he's probably basically playing injured and lost a lot of development as a result.
  20. Lol good work by one of the mods.
