  1. Man Buck and Shulman without Pat is a dream come true.
  2. Like, a 25% K rate is his current projection lol. If he can do that at 20 years old I think the Braves will feel pretty good about themselves.
  3. Sanchez is pretty awful and I don't expect anything good out of him but let's hope the offense brings it today and/or he flukes his way to 6-7 innings of low run scoring.
  4. The pitcher still needs a target though, plus someone to call the pitches. The latter I suppose could be replaced by an ear piece or the pitcher throwing whatever they want but that sounds pretty f***ing stupid lol. It's really hard to aim at nothing, so I don't think the catcher's position would change at all, the catchers could just put themselves in a much more comfortable position like sitting up by their knees rather than a straight crouch. They still have to catch the ball when someone's on base and when a hitter has 3 balls or 2 strikes with no one on, so I don't think this is something fundamental to consider or anything. Also the ball still has to get back to the pitcher, and it's much faster if the catcher is receiving and tossing back in their current state than sitting behind the backstop or something dumn like that. Foul balls are also a thing, that's why catchers are assigned to their circle and can't just stand wherever they want.
  5. His situation is a tough one to evaluate and he should be given some leeway imo. First of all, yes he wasn't viewed highly by scouts and all that crap, that should be taken into consideration strongly, perhaps he simply doesn't have the batspeed and the tools to succeed at the higher levels. But the stuff with his mom must have made it brutal for him, there's no way he's been right mentally or emotionally for a while now, and that as much as physical tools can make a gigantic impact on performance. He may never pan out, but the way I see it he's probably basically playing injured and lost a lot of development as a result.
  6. Lol good work by one of the mods.
  7. Bats and good gloves are expensive as hell too.
  8. Man talk about not having any luck this series.
  9. We better f***ing come back here because Chapman is killing my ratios in what is already a non-save situation.
  10. Freeman, Albies and Folty for me.
  11. "Farm Report" "Danny Espinosa"
  12. Big fan of Teoscar Hernandez. Lol @ Yankees fans booing what the f***?
  13. They had to satisfy their Yankees shortstop loving somehow. He was the natural replacement.
  14. This ump is killing Garcia.
  15. Outfielders catching baseballs with two hands at this level make me so nervous.
  16. The Yankees have been the better team but they've gotten much luckier than us, Kansas City -esque at times.
  17. On the bright side Gurriel Jr. looks very legit. Our bench is going to be unreal when Donaldson comes back.
  18. LGJ is crushing balls left and right. Of course we can't get a s***** homerun out of it but very promising.
  19. Travis made some dumb mistakes last year and probably the year before but he still looked like a capable defender and at times above average. He's been brutal this season in a small sample.
  20. You sure he could make it to third even if he was busting it out of the gate? It is Smoak.
  21. Man we deserved a homer out of that, but I guess we'll take not being robbed of a ball that was crushed.
  22. Severino is painting with the fastball and pretty much commanding his slider at will. This one's not gonna be easy boys.
