  1. In what universe is a guy named Socrates lower on the name grade scale than one named "Max"?
  2. I feel the exact opposite as you on this matter. Socrates Brito is a superstar name.
  3. Yesterday was Baltimore's home opener, teams without a roof tend to have the next day without a game in case of postponement due to weather on the scheduled opening day.
  4. That matchup was not exactly favourable for Rowdy.
  5. That's about 75% on Roberto Perez, but lol ump.
  6. New strategy: simulate the first 8 innings of the game and just kick it off in the 9th.
  7. The dreadlock boyz coming through.
  8. Freddy Galvis has been a f***ing godsend, my god.
  9. Freddy Votto coming up boys, we got this.
  10. Danny Jansen has been throwing bullets all year long. His arm being this good is quite the pleasant surprise.
  11. I'm sure he's consistently rated and been regarded as an elite defender despite lack of range. Makes perfect sense.
  12. I mean you're free to think whatever you want, but Jansen projects as one of the best catchers in baseball already. He's quite good IMO.
  13. Strong Jose Molina vibes from him. Guy is awful at everything except for defense but he's an absolute rock there.
  14. We're having the perfect three true outcome game, except for, you know, the homers. 2/3!
  15. West Texas Forever or something I think he's alluding to. Not sure where the stoner part came from lol.
  16. He's been awful. It's one thing as a hitter to start out rough or not have balls dropping for hits in the first few weeks, but when you're a fringe reliever as is and can't throw strikes that's a big no.
  17. He had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk over 5 innings while reportedly displaying elite stuff. This was an excellent outing.
  18. The entire starting lineup plus everyone who's pitched is under 30, our second oldest player today is 27. If anything this game is proof of the exact opposite.
  19. Tim Mayza has not had it this year.
  20. Bauer is taking forever in between pitches.
  21. It's not just the lack of strikezone, the lack of velocity is even more damning. They should have a backup to at least display velocity on the game box when the zone goes in the shitter.
  22. Friendly reminder that Trevor Bauer is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Not only is his stuff great, but because he works out all offseason with the driveline guys his spin rate is ridiculous and his pitch tunneling is probably among the best in the league.
  23. Interested to see how Brito's defense looks. I think he has a shot at being a good fourth outfielder.
  24. He's a bit old but he's shown strikeout ability throughout the minors which is always a big positive, could indicate that if being a depth starter doesn't work out he could have some success out of the bullpen.
