  1. Just throwing a wild thought out there, but a run would be nice. It's Andrew Cashner third time through the order FFS.
  2. Lol what the f*** was the point of that?
  3. Galvis is one of the only hitters on the team that looks like he didn't just get out of a month long bender, and that's a problem.
  4. We're paying almost as much on players to not play for us as we are for those who are playing for us.
  5. Really looks and sounds like a guy who begged the FO for a trade.
  6. One of those guys that does well in the minors but their parent organization just never really valued them or gave them an extended look. It's a nothing move but I kind of like it, Socrates Brito is an 80 grade name and he might not be a terrible depth outfielder if one of ours goes down with an injury or struggles with performance (Alford, Teoscar). He did very well at AAA last year. IMO he's better than Dwight Smith Jr.
  7. What exactly does that make the Giants then? At least they have money I guess.
  8. The minor league season hasn't started yet, he was waiting around in Toronto because it seemed pretty clear that a Pillar deal was going down sooner or later.
  9. For questions like these I usually assume the Padres. I don't think it's the worst, McKinney is a bit below average, Teoscar is awful and Grichuk is at least an average CF. If Alford replaces Teoscar then it's gotta be at least an average outfield.
  10. I despised watching him hit but I have some appreciation for Pillar. He was an elite defender in his prime, gave us highlight after highlight, and was a very valuable player, pretty much the best case scenario for a 32nd round pick. I'm excited for Alford but Pillar deserves all the praise that he gets from many Jays fans. The return is whatever, but no one pays for defense anyway. I'll take one lottery ticket and maybe Law won't be quite so awful, as relievers tend to just be like that sometimes.
  11. Because Rajai mashed against lefties, and he was the best/most fun baserunner that I've ever seen on the Blue Jays - when he did get on base, which was probably against a lefty.
  12. The Red Sox are melting down in Oakland.
  13. Joe Kelly suxxxxxx
  14. Lol @ DSJ being better than McKinney for sure. He probably doesn't have a single tool which is superior, and there's a two year age gap. DSJ is a very mediocre player.
  15. Ah yes, the classic he's bad if you take out his good games argument. Nice.
  16. Dwight Smith Jr. is not better than anyone in our outfield, 16 PAs be damned.
  17. That was pretty bad lol.
  18. Man I wish they would have gone with Miguel Castro, that would have been a guaranteed wild pitch.
  19. That was uh...some effort by DSJ lmao.
  20. Wat, this was a good move lol. Tellez is probably horrendous against lefties.
  21. I love Drury's opposite field swing. He really goes with where the ball is thrown.
  22. I agree with the defense, that needs to get much better. That wasn't really a bad feed to Galvis though, it's a routine flip that you make just to the right of the bag so the shortstop has the momentum to make the return throw.
  23. He can probably play through it, I doubt anyone will notice the difference on defense. In all seriousness that's a blow, the Yankees are bound to be aggressive if LeMahieu isn't quite the replacement that they had in mind.
  24. It's the first f***ing week man, give him at least a month before we can say he's clueless. No one on the team is hitting right now.
  25. Attaboy Gaviglio. We needed those innings from he and Pannone.
