You gotta feel terrible for Hess here. He completely dominated and to be pulled at only 82 pitches is tough. Props to him, we were bad but he was painting with his fastball pretty much all game long.
No, he was hitting 95-96 in the first inning, 93-94 with regularity in the first few hitters. He either took a bit off to try to command it better or he was getting exhausted after two long and stressful innings.
