Don't guess with this guy is Pat's advice, just react. Because when a guy is throwing 95 to go along with two plus offerings that look just like the fastball for 40% of the way home it's just that simple. I wonder why strikeouts are up if guys could just react and hit the ball?

Of course not. But a lot of old school managers, which everyone thinks Montoyo is, would never have moved up a struggling young player up in the lineup. Just pointing that out. I'm well aware that Vlad would have started raking regardless of whether he was moved up to 2, continued hitting in the 5 hole or was dropped to number 9. -

I like how no one brings up the fact that Montoyo put the struggling Guerrero in the 2 hole and he's been much better since. It's just easier to blame everything on the manager of course. -
