  1. McKinney slowly inching towards a respectable hitting line.
  2. And they didn't do that. They rushed him up into a high leverage situation in a contending year and then bailed on him and sent him packing in the Tulo deal. That egregious mishandling of what seemed like a promising prospect is almost entirely AA's fault.
  3. Luciano's situation is much different. He'll certainly be back in the minors next season or this year if the Jays return him, and he is never being put in to high leverage spots. The Rockies had a chance to develop Castro from the ground up after they acquired him but decided to keep going with him as a reliever in AAA. It's a long shot anyway but at least the Jays are attempting to develop Luciano instead of throwing him into to the fire.
  4. It's sad to see how bad Miguel Castro is with his stuff. AA completely ruined his career by rushing him trying to save his job.
  5. Thanks for the edit lol. Alvarado just threw a filthy 94 mph slider(?) to put Hicks away.
  6. Austin Meadows homers to put Tampa ahead in the 11th. The Pirates FO continues to be on suicide watch.
  7. Don't guess with this guy is Pat's advice, just react. Because when a guy is throwing 95 to go along with two plus offerings that look just like the fastball for 40% of the way home it's just that simple. I wonder why strikeouts are up if guys could just react and hit the ball?
  8. I'm with you, the RA flashbacks are real. Buck adds another quip. "might have saved a run" when there was a runner on first and Grichuk was coming in on the ball. These guys have to be the worst crew in baseball now.
  9. "That's a two strike approach right there" he checked his swing on a ball Pat FFS. Didn't even know where the ball was hit.
  10. Of course not. But a lot of old school managers, which everyone thinks Montoyo is, would never have moved up a struggling young player up in the lineup. Just pointing that out. I'm well aware that Vlad would have started raking regardless of whether he was moved up to 2, continued hitting in the 5 hole or was dropped to number 9.
  11. I like how no one brings up the fact that Montoyo put the struggling Guerrero in the 2 hole and he's been much better since. It's just easier to blame everything on the manager of course.
  12. 3 more ding-dongs for Kris Bryant tonight.
  13. Oh my god how can you still think this? Maybe take a look at my signature a few more times, it might start to drive the point home.
  14. Uh, have you looked at J.A. Happ's performance this season? No one is laughing from this deal.
  15. Alford is hitting worse in AAA than McKinney is in the MLB. It would not be pretty.
  16. f*** me I thought that was a bomb.
  17. That was a great play by Drury even if we got lucky with the bad call.
  18. Who gives a f*** if it hit him? He fully went around.
  19. Poor Jonathan Davis.
