  1. He had one good year in 2011, maybe he can turn it around this year? But hes just a veteran presents replacement for Axford, but f*** me I'm a few months older then him. trolololol
  2. Now for the NP defenders, what is your defense that Nate Pearson is clearly better then Patrick Murphy? The only defense that I can think of is that his ceiling is much higher then Patrick Murphy because he hasn't been exposed enough yet.
  3. Lets think rationally.. PM pitched in the FSL last year and was meh, he throws hard. NP has pitched 1.2 innings above rookie ball, was quite bad recently in the AFL, and he throws hard. His hype/prospect ranking is 100% solely based on the fact that he throws hard and that is it. He hasn't pitched enough to give anyone a true indication of what type of pitcher he is. Oh look someone earlier this week who walked alot of people in the AFL w missed his fastball location really badly and a semi decent hitter make him pay for it. H/T -
  4. Patrick Murphy > Nate Pearson now, maybe at some point this season Pearson can catch up.
  5. 1. Patrick Murphy will end the season higher on prospect rankings then Nate Pearson. 2. Nate Pearson will be exposed for not actually being good besides throwing a 100mph fastball. 3. Paulino has > 20 saves. 4. Gurribabip puts up negative bWAR/fWAR and the f/o still trots him out 5-6 days a week till giving up mid summer 5. Thomas Pannone pitches ~100 IP despite having a HR/9 of 2.5~
  6. I never quite understood the Axford addition besides "veteran presents", guys ticketed for AA/AAA on the 40man like Paulino, SRF, PMurphy are probably all better then him now, but have higher hopes then that for them instead of generic 6th inning reliever(well srf and p murph)
  7. Josh DeGraaf retired, so you can cross off an AA/AAA starter from the current logjam. It was a pleasure to meet him and his parents last year in Florida.
  8. Slider = breaking-ball zomg
  9. Bro u need to learn to read and not troll 100% of my posts for eternity. I am still semi optimistic on Tellez, but he has his holes like most of 23 year old AAA hitters. He has good discipline in the minors, but swings like that pic indicate he will get chewed up alive via L/L sliders. From what I've seen of him he seems to enjoy hitting upper fastballs, and hunting breaking-balls, but I don't know what teh book is to get him out quite yet.
  10. Bro learn 2 see, that is not an offspeed pitch.
  11. You sound like me from 10 yrs ago for Randy Ruiz, bro Tellez probably isn't any good, stop justifying random SSS Sept stats.
  12. Bro he has a respectable bb/k ratio in the minors, he gets some slack for his first time around in da majors
  13. Snead didn't look too bad, he hit 93 on the gun, was high 80s when I saw him in NH last Sept. He threw 8 sliders all located well from what I recall and 1 fb. I think he will get a chance this year prob if he can cut down his walks.
  14. Stop hating pillar, hes not the problem, AAAA scrubs like The Mirage are, who knows why he is making the 25 man roster, let alone 40. The mirage had a mirage'ian at bat today, swinging at a r/r slider that was 2-3 feet off the plate for strike 3, he will never learn.
  15. Anyone have an idea of all of the pitches Alford has hit HRs over the last few days? The 2 ones today were on mistake sliders, but not middle middle hangers.
  16. Seems about right, his fbs were mostly in the strike zone, but missing catchers location way too often, but better fb command/control then random AAAA guys like SRF. Call me crazy but id still prob let him make the team.
  17. 2008 Draft Thread - https://web.archive.org/web/20080531063503/http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=1&nav=messages&webtag=ml-bluejays&tid=51365 Or a thread with >5000 posts to fire Gibbons started by ECJF in 2007(whatever happened to him? For like 10 years he posted 100x a day on old forum) https://web.archive.org/web/20070812155006/http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ml-bluejays
  18. So I should just aim for the sky delusionally and insult everyone that disagrees with me, then deny it ever happened like njh has done for 10 years?
  19. Running the wayback machine on the old forum from 10 years ago is the same as an article like this. Bts, me thinking David Cooper would be something Bts, Njh thinking Hech would be something Njh thinking TDA would be something The entire forum thinking JPA would be a stud Njh in 2009 saying my takes are terrible, Njh in 2018 saying my takes are terrible Etc
  20. Gurribabip continues to show why he is a terrible hitter, swinging at so many s***** pitches, looking silly on a first pitch slider, but he ends up hitting a middle middle fast ball down the middle for a single, so idiots will continue to think results over process.
  21. wtf spanky said something that makes sense. The mirage had a sexy second half K% of 39! But ST stats mean like nada, the level of competition varies so much AB to AB, pitchers working on pitches, hitters swinging for the fences, etc
  22. Stroman is an egotistical maniac like Spanky but he is a good pitcher, I think last year is an anomaly, he will bounce back.
  23. I saw Virginia last year in the middle of a Washington poker trip, it was 2 hours south of Washington. Maybe I’ll check out this trip sometime
  24. I got to see one game last year in Charlottesville, Virginia of UVa, their team looked pretty bad in that one game, but they still managed to have a few high draft picks last year. Hopefully I can check out a few more NCAA games this year..
