  1. He swings at everything, good pitchers will pwn him
  2. wut about 2004 shaun marcum, 2006 jesse litsch, 2011 nestor molina in dunedin
  3. In most videos/clips of Pearson he is always missing up and up/away with his fastball. Sure its nice he can blow away crappy hitters who will chase this but vs better hitters it wont work. Well guess what he gave up a hr last night on a high/missed location fastball vs some guy who is a career 255/324/361 hitter in the minors. It's nice that he can throw hard, but he is a work in progress like most 22 year olds in the minors. Remember process >>>>>> results.
  4. How many times are we going to have to go over this? How many times are u guys gonna drool over prospects with enormous flaws? Did you not learn anything from being a delusional hech fan 10 years ago? Oh look he is out of the majors at 29.
  5. They have done alot of stupid/really bad things 1. Punting on the whole 2018 season to sign veteran presents to end up 500~ then trade most of them for 22/23/24 aa/aaa fodder, when we should have begin tank/teardown then in 18 season. 2. Not trading Trading Donaldson in 17/18 offseason, then trading him for random AAA 27 year old pitcher. 3. 15/16 1st picks seem to be busts/meh at best (Zeuch,Warmouth) 4. Letting Gurribabip play in the majors, when he clearly isn't ready on offense or defense, when he probably will never be, and over-hype him through the media believing he is actually good. (Im ok with taking the chance on him with the contract). 5. Prospect hype > actual skill (SRF, Pearson, Bichette, Pardinho) have major flaws that will be exposed in the majors. The only good things.. 1. Not signing too many bad contracts.. 2. Not signing Sanchez to a long term contract 3. Stole Grichuk from Cardinals Overall Grade Now B-, trending downwards as most of the prospects hype > actual skill when the are exposed/promoted to the majors and everyone will realize most of them aren't any good.
  6. Hes aite at poker, he lasted more then most of the Jays in the Jays Care / Russel Martin tourney I went to last year, lol
  7. Few clips of NP in that twitter thread
  8. Naw he looked pretty meh, same problems he was having in AFL, but good start to the year.
  9. Sanchez cant get out lefties in 2014... Sanchez cant get out lefties in 2019...
  10. Pearson missing on his fastballs alot high/arm side, same as AFL =[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[
  11. Gurribabip aint goin nowhere brah, hes got a bobble head day in late April... Its 2017 all over again when Jason Grilli was forced to stay around for 2 months bc of BBQ apron giveaway.
  12. Process >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Results Gurribabip looked dreadful last year on O and D. So far this year he has looked dreadful on O and D again, yesterday he got two flukey hits on bad process.
  13. Nate pearson pitching above short season ball alert plz dont suck like afl and several clips from st complex games lfgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
  14. Maybe stupid question but will the Jays FO/Coaching staff tell Gurribabip to change his approach and not swing at everything? Or will they let him and not bug him bc his approach/style got him to the majors..
  15. Gurribabips problem is that he swings at absolutely everything, and he has to realize that he should look for an area and swing if its close like most hitters. He will not succeed if he continues this approach, he will fail miserably vs major league pitching. His hits yesterday were a groundball single on a fastball that was several feet above the strikezone, and a flukey double due to shifts on a slider that ended up in the LH batters box.
  16. A+++ Troll But on a serious note would anyone actually fly from Buffalo to Toronto? I've done the drive maybe 10~ times in the last 5 years, and it is 90minute-120 hour trip each way depending on the line at the border. No way a flight is faster..
  17. Gurribabip looks so bad at the plate it is crazy, he might be even worse then I thought which was super low. Does he realize u dont have to swing at every single pitch?
  18. Sigh don't get this I was in the keep Pillar camp.. Alford would have gotten a shot eventually this year, but last year he was so bad, he slugged under 350 in AAA, ugh.. But #tanknation #torkelson2020
  19. I think he is better then McKinney for sure, Pillar or Mirage maybe, Grichuk no.
  20. True, I've never really looked into his swing % stats so I don't know those comparisons you mentioned. His bb/k and watching him hit last year is more then enough in this case. I just don't think hitters ever can double their BB rate, or cut K rate 25% which is what he needs to have a chance of being an adequate hitter.
  21. He has good batted ball data (he can hit some pitches hard..) which is why scouts/some people still like him, but just when his approach is this bad he is overwhelmingly destined to fail versus better pitching that exploit his weakness. Could he double his walk rate / cut his K rate down to like 20%? Maybe, but probably not. Cuba is like A+/AA I think, I wouldn't look too much into those to be honest.
  22. The history of guys that walk 3-5% and strikeout 22-26% is not good......
  23. Gurribabip can hit mistake pitches, but his approach which essentially is to swing swing swing swing swing, will get eaten alive by good pitchers, he will occasionally run into a mistake pitch from s***** pitchers, but he will get eaten up alive in the majors. His OPS is ~550 outside of his 11game hit streak, lol
