It would be great to have the best record in the game, surpass the A's and such. I get disheartened when the Jays slump mostly because it feels like Groundhog Day but this year no one is really running away with the division. Tread water, stay a few games within first and get hot at the right time. Hell, I'd rather just squeak by and get into the playoffs and see what happens ie the 2006 Cardinals. 83 wins wind up winning the World Series. 21+ years of everything going wrong does harp on you but like I said, if the team can squeak in, even late September, then see what happens in the playoffs. Get hot then and see where it goes. It sucks to be 6 games up and then free fall but considering that fall and where everyone in the division is, it's not nearly as bad as it could be. Hopefully they get their s*** together, get healthy, maybe pull off a trade or two to sure a few things up and see what happens.
