  1. Are you suggesting it would take Bautista + Stroman/Sanchez for Porcello?
  2. Hahaha it's definitely Stroman. I was watching TV as I posted, my bad.
  3. Sanchez' change-up; http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1908723/1_medium_medium.gif
  4. I wouldn't empty it because he is a Boras client and you will have to empty your wallet to keep him beyond next season. I'd give them Sanchez + Stroman + but they'll get more than that including at least one elite talent. I could see the Orioles sending Bundy + Schoop or something along those lines since they have such a hard time developing pitchers.
  5. Well get on it AA...
  6. They'd have to want Rasmus (who would demolish in COL) on a long-term deal. The spec' would be Sanchez and AA would probably have to give up a low A guy like Norris while eating some of Rasmus' salary to even get in to the ballpark.
  7. As evidenced by the Miami trade, AA will overpay for other teams' elite MIF talent signed to long-term FA priced contracts. You and I both know AA would rather trade for Tulo than just sign Cano. Basically how I feel as well. I suspect AA will try very hard to land Tulo but, ultimately will not have the pieces to make it happen.
  8. Anyone else think AA well be in on Tulo?
  9. If those deals are out there the Jays just make the trade.
  10. I agree with you here. I just don't see the Reds breaking up the top of their rotation (Cueto/Latos/Bailey) to land Jose when they could have simply re-signed Choo. If the Jays' think Chapman is a legit top of the rotation guy there is a trade to be made, if not go look look elsewhere.
  11. The Reds are in love with Bailey, he is just hitting arb and I bet they've already started contract talks. IMO there no incentive to move him for Jose when they can just resign Choo without giving up compensation. If you're expecting to trade Jose for a top of the rotation SP ++ it's not going to be from the Reds.
  12. I'm not even sure Bautista would land you Bailey let alone Bailey+.
  13. IMO Jose could land you Chapman + Phillips. Perhaps you could add Cecil/Janssen/Delabar and land Hanigan as well.
  14. If McCann doesn't work out, Hanigan/Ruiz would be a pretty solid tandem... just saying.
  15. Is there any chance we could get +/- 1's instead of the thanks feature?
  16. From your results it looks as if Hanigan is at least average. and either Hanigan and Mesoraco are both average pitch framers or Hanigan is an above average framer and Mesoraco is below average. From your results it appears that the latter is more likely than the former.
  17. http://blogs.thescore.com/djf/2013/11/08/video-marcus-stroman-makes-people-giddy/ Some video here.
  18. I know I shouldn't but, I'm still holding out hope for McCann.
  19. God, I hope not. It's not like Thole is the only person on the planet that can catch a knuckleball.
  20. Or he just sucks.
  21. Translation: its November 8th and AA is already desperate.
  22. You said it yourself most closers are only short-term solutions. Why would you go out and sign them to big money long term deals? Especially when they are also the easiest to acquire?
  23. I didn't watch the first but the feed I had showed him 91-94mph with his FB. I didn't see a FB in the 80's but again I didn't see the first inning. He wasn't hitting his spots at all and his off-speed stuff wasn't foolng anyone in teh second. Definitely didn't look as sharp as he was in his brief MLB stint.
  24. Catching, MIF depth and then the rotation IMO. There are enough arms to cover the +1460IP needed for a full season. Even if those innings are spread out over multiple sub-par pieces, there is at least bottom tier MLB talents to the fill the role already within the organization. The Jays' JPA/Goins(Izturtis) C/2B combo is trumped by quite a few AAA teams. It's embarrassing and needs to be rectified.
