Some of these guys ridiculously over value prospects. Especially pitching prospects with arm concerns.

I think bad mechanics throwing 97 will heighten your chance of injuries. Also his pitch counts have been kept relatively low so he hasn't had many stressful innings. Good for his arm but bad for his development.

That's good to hear but i want to see it for more then just a couple starts. Also once he gets to the majors there going to have a scouting report to take pitches on him so he's going to have the pound the zone if he wants to get past the 5th inning ever.

If he throws strikes consistently he can obviously dominate. I am in serious doubt that he actually do that though. The arm action is pretty violent to. He is a guy a would definitely move if I could get something good in return.

Voted Verlander. Has been terrible this year and a ton of mileage on that arm.

Younger guys usually equal more volatility though. Look at Xander everyone on this board thought he was ready to step in after one month, not so fast.

Rajai Davis looks fluid out there but catches the ball at his side every time and makes me s*** a brick. Not to mention overthrowing cutoff men and home plate some times.

i look at defensive metrics but like the eye test better.

There is really only one elite defender at LF in Gordon and Cespedes is pretty solid. The rest of the guys are pretty avg and that includes melky.

You need pillar to platoon with gose atm. Plus he's good depth if you can get melky signed.

For the record i think he's worth the QO. Even if you think your overpaying a bit you do it on the one year deal. Some people don't like Melky's defense but i am fine with it, he catches everything he gets to and has a solid arm. He's also pretty durable throughout his career excluding last years tumor which i think we can all agree was a freak injury.
