I'm not calling it a conspiracy against the Jays, I bitch when they make poor calls that go in the favour of the Jays as well (though, I'm more "that's horseshit" and less ragey when they go our way...) The technology exists to replace them, do it. We're still in the days of Model-Ts being made by hand when it comes to officiating sports, because "that's the way it's always been done."

Unless the stat with which you are most concerned is Handsomeness Above Replacement, we really didn't give up a huge amount of talent in the Miami trade, I'm still quite okay with that trade (as long as we can talk Reyes into a move to second next year). The Dickey trade made no sense then, and continues to make no sense, but that was w/ a different trade. -
Short answer: No Long answer: Absolutely not, he gets listeners (and the cost of his show is virtually nothing) which is all that matters.
